Dedollarization in progress
>>
>>536001191
If they had imported 10 million jeets like America did this wouldn't be happening.
>>
>>536001191
oh yeah, the country that has automated manufacturing of half the shit the world is using is done, it's over for China
>>
>>536001191
learn to read a chart nigger, that shows the US dollar collapsing on the yuan
>Year-over-year: This is the bigger move. A year ago it took about 7.20 yuan to buy 1 dollar, versus roughly 6.78 today — meaning the dollar has lost about 5.7% against the yuan over the past year. The 52-week range runs from about 6.82 up to 7.31. CurrencyLiveYahoo Finance
>So the overall picture: the yuan has strengthened meaningfully against the dollar over the past 12 months, and the chart is currently testing the lower end of that range near 6.78 after a slow, low-volatility decline.
>>
>>536001434
>if they imported 10 million jeets the value of the yuan wouldn't be rising relative to the dollar
most likely correct
>>
>>536001469
yeah, faggot OP is implying that China won't be able to offer cheap shit anymore. He forgets that if that was the case, CCP controls the currency, they could have kept it down but they are now changing the tune themselves.

But I thought PRC and some other countries was dumping US bonds because of the debt, which would cause the dollar to fall?
>>
>>536001191
lol India's chart is the opposite
>>
>>536001191
Ok keep me posted
>>
This shows an appreciation of the CNY
You used to need 7.2 to buy 1 dollar, now you only need 6.7.
This being said it's mostly political and doesn't reflect economic reality, china controls its exchange rate tightly
>>
>>536001549
yes, this is exactly what this chart shows happening

Well that's... odd.

We're at a pegged level??????
>>
>>536001621
OK thanks, not only is OP’s thread misleading, but the chart is mislabeled by saying USD to CNY. This implies the amount of dollars to buy a Yuan. Readers have to go all the way to the axis labels on the right, and to intuitively know which currency buys a greater number of the other one.
>>
>>536001716
Sure, but strange things are afoot:
>>536001799
Why would this thread be made..... NOW? Isn't that very odd?

fwiw, the situation with china always seems paradoxical. In 2014, chinese manufactured goods weren't more expensive than in 2005, for Americans.

oh wow

ai leo:
>Efficiency Gains: Between 2005 and 2014, Chinese manufacturers significantly improved productivity and moved up the value chain. While wages rose, the cost per unit often remained competitive because factories produced goods faster and with less waste, offsetting some labor cost increases.

So from 2004 to 2014, the end consumer of chinese crap, in the USA didn't see a price change.

So, what I am guessing is that china is replacing humans with humanoid robots, in the manufacturing process. We'll see if this is true, but if so, expect usa street prices for chinese manufactured goods to remain basically the same despite changes in the currency.
>>
>Epstein tax payer cope thread

I know you're too poor and unable to, but you should take a drive around all the towns that used to manufacture all the steel. Compare those towns to China's worst. You'd choose the China town. Well.... maybe not since most of you enjoy black cocks anyways.

Get back to your wage slaving for your pedo masters you weak goyim. YEa! china sucks!!! America number 1!! I pledge allegiance! Googoo gaa gaa
>>
>>536001191
DXY has been extremely stable since March of last year which means that this is the CNY gaining in value more than the US losing value overall. What this means is that importing stuff from China is becoming more expensive. China is countering this by just producing so much stuff that prices are low enough to still be worth it but that relies on a rather large amount of subsidies and just accepting that a factory is probably going to have to run at a loss to ensure they keep market share. China is fine with this because the alternative of factories shutting down is bad for people looking for jobs (though with China's demographics fucking up i'm not sure how long this will be an issue actually china relies on exports for GDP growth so this still makes sense that they want to keep exports up since they NEED to meet their quotas)
>>
>>536001845
op's thread is amazing. It comes straight from the butthole of the prc. Look at this chart:
>>536001799
My speculation is that china is using humanoid robots to reduce costs, so that they can handle a higher yuan.
>>
>>536002005
Make sure you look at this chart:
>>536001799
and consider the prc itself is pushing the shilling of the currency NOW.

That's extremely interesting, and I think it means they are switching to humanoid robots to reduce costs, so that they can offset the issue of a higher yuan.
>>
>>536001191
They have 2 weeks at most.
>>
>>536001469
The reality is that it isn't yuan that gets more valuable, it is us dollar that loses value. China tries hard to keep the currency's value stable. US of A does the opposite, they inflate away (You)r money.
>>
>>536001510
Yuan rising is bad for a net exporter. Beijing has undervalued the yuan for years on purpose. Makes exports more profitable. Dollar value increase is good for a reserve currency and international trade currency. Trump's plan to devalue the USD and spike the price of the yuan to sabotage Chinese exports is working. That's how you bring manufacturing and exports back to the US.

Within 10 years, and probably sooner, the Chinese Yuan will be worth more than American Dollars
>>
>>536002102
Are the manufacturing jobs back in the country with us right now?
>>
>>536002442
We can produce our own oil and fuel if we simply invested into it. This do-nothing-produce-nothing economy is not working, you're watching it fail in real time and yet you still shill for the current order
>>
>>536002633
That's bad. Their entire economy is manufacturing-export based, nobody is going to buy shit from China if the yuan will even dwarf the euro in value

We hear Americans can barely afford rent, food, and gas. They're going to make those a priority over Chinaman goods, outside of necessities.

Chinese want to be world factory and they dont take no for an answer...
>>
>>536001191
tl;dr their growth has completely stopped, there is simply not enough work to go around and a lot of people are jobless. Long term this is good IF we manage to figure out AI and truly automate the whole of society. Short term yeah chinks are fucked, and honestly even long term the average chink is fucked because he'll still be jobless and told
>okay here's your free less than studio sized apartment and subsidized rice, if you want to 'purchase' any additional amenities in your natural life please sign up for community service, the wait list is on average [AI Voice] THREE. YEARS.
but the government and corpos will be happy.

Yes, I believe so, because the peso rebounded a bit vs the dollar too, and it sure as shit wasn't our sound fiscal and economic policy.
