My friend did this in Taiwan, China and Korea, it is not smart for an American to do this. Makes more sense for people from shitty countries. Indians learn Engish, hell most Indian majority countries learn English, makes sense to hire them.

That's about what I paid in Taiwan when I was living there. $680/month rent for a top-floor ocean view apartment, $17/month for cellphone with unlimited 4G data, and then food. Shitty national health insurance (mandatory) was something like $25/mo which entitled me to go waste the time of incompetent quacks until I got fed up and flew to Thailand for real medical care. Fortunately, for simple things, you can buy basically any drug OTC without a prescription even though the law says you can't, because pharmacists know that the quacks are too fucking stupid to breathe, so whenever I got an infection I could just buy a box of Augmentin.
