i talked to my zoomie cousin the other day in high school and he says 90% of the people he knows are going into 2 things: trades or medicinenormies are getting progressivley squeezed more and more each year and they've slowly realized that college is a scam if your goal is to get a job at the end of it. zoomers now see holding down an apartment as an accomplishment, and they're trying to cling on to the only straightforward careers these days that will let them buy a house and maybe raise a family.kinda sad how joe boomer could do a shitty business degree and pump gas on the weekends and raise a nice family in a nice home with a handshake job when the kids these days are studying their ass off trying to become fucking doctors because thats the only shit that pays well enough to get a home these days
Tradie here.I want out and after being fucked over so many times ill never make the jump to owner/white hat.Its been a complete waste of time and the vindictive behavior from people when you have talent eventually gets to you.I stopped feeling enjoyment in things and no longer care. The stress and chest pains from not making it are real.Just sell drugs instead. Been at it a couple years and while not always a super exciting job it can be pretty stimulating at times troubleshooting or coding and pays well enough depending on your position. Also in my experience people like to be left alone for sure but most are always willing to help long as you don't come off like a retard begging for handouts.
