Old boomer potheads chased the feeling it gave you, new potheads chased getting fucked up of it. So now it's just a wannabe hard drug for people who wanna get fucked up, but are too timid to do it with alcohol or harder things, and if you use it daily it won't even do that you'll just be glazed over all day, it's fucking boring.

Just give them clonidine. It inhibits many of the pleasurable effects and it is very safe. It is just a heart medication but also given to dying cancer patients, severe addicts and combat vets with ptsd.
