I work in a hospital and the vast majority of birth are natural + epidural. C sections are for at risk births. And a lot of people don't even come to the hospital anymore they just get a midwife, which honestly is better for healthy pregnancies and healthy mothers/babies

natural birth is quite dangerous as far as medical procedures go. the risk isn't like massive obviously but the medical position is why take any risk at all? so the second something goes wrong they just go for c-section straight away.my sister in law was hoping for a natural birth but the babby was small and weak so rather than risk it as soon as there was any difficulty they just c-sectioned.and why not? why bring on pointless risks just for the sake of moralising birthing? it's dumb.
