Rome, actual roman rome was only ever about 100,000 people or so. They invited in the latins and Etruscans into their society after they conquered them/made peace treaties. It was so bad we don't have Claudius's history because agustus made him throw it out due to the fact Claudius did the genealogy too well and revealed his mother side was all Etruscan.
