Russia has not captured a single city since 2022, only villages, towns and farmland. It took russia 2 years to capture bakhmut, and then another 2 years to capture pokrovsk, a town much smaller than bakhmut. This, if anything, blatantly demonstrates russia's reduced ability to capture fortified areas. Following this pattern, it would take russia a minimum of 5 years to capture a single major city, and that's assuming russia is able to recruit new soldiers at the same level as 2022-2025, which they won't be. A general mass mobilization is a necessity if russia wishes to make any notable gains on the battlefield, and even that doesn't have an immediate effect. The conscripts would be poorly trained and even more poorly motivated. Putin seems determined to see this to the end though, so the likeliest outcome is a stalemate until Putin's death, with his follower pursuing a negotiated settlement
