India will now dilute their diesel by 20% using isobutanol. Isobutanol is a biofuel made from organic material. This procedure has never been tested before and is a sign of extreme distress and crisis in India! India has also been diluting their gasoline by 30% using Ethanol for months now.

There is also a very real chance this will destroy millions of engines making the problem so much worse!

Both can be true retard
There can be shortages which result in chaos
While simultaneously there exists diluted supply in other parts of the country

Ethanol is excellent fuel in principle, better than petrol.
But it has one important disadvantage:
>it's hydroscopic
In other words it absorbs water, meaning it is very difficult to render water-free, and the water content tends to increase with time.
While this problem can be minimized when it is not corrosion damage to engines is almost pre-programmed.

Depends how you define Indian.
The original Dasa definitely had their conflicts, and occasionally conquered other Dasa.
Once Aryans took over parts they also conquered regions, but again those were Dasa.
Then during the muslim era there also were some conquests, but largely within the same constraints as before, and not directly attributable to Indians as such, much like we can't consider conquests under British rule conquests, even if it was an Indian army with mostly native troops.
Indian physiology and philosophy isn't very conductive to being conquerers, and their "Empire", the entire region inhabited by poos and poo accessories, is fairly vast and surrounded by mountains. Technology puts some limits on how much expansion is feasible.

>Both can be true retard
If you're out of something that means you don't have any of it left to dilute. If you have enough of it left to dilute then clearly you're not out yet.
>>
>>536103372
Retard, if 30% of a country doesn't have access to diesel it shuts down, that's called a shortage
70% of the country may still have access to diesel but when the 30% of the supply chain collapses it creates a chain reaction that goes all the way up the supply chain.

I know all of this is really complicated for you to comprehend but you are just going to have to think about it a little bit, try really hard, retard.
>>
>>536103372
Rather it's a transient state:
Do you still have diesel fuel if all your diesel fuel has been diluted with crap?
The answer is no; it's not longer normal diesel fuel, and generally cannot be separated again, so you have no diesel anymore, just fake diesel.
>>
>>536103510
Also true germanon
Does 80% Diesel + 20% isobutanol = Diesel?
The world will shortly find out!
>>
>>536103617
Of course it's nuanced, but you framed it exactly right:
Both diesel and petrol is a set mixture of substances, not one single particular substance (like ethanol would be).
There are tolerances in the ratios and exact constituents, but once you drop out of a certain range it stops being diesel or petrol.

>Ethanol is excellent fuel in principle, better than petrol.
No it's not. Not only does it cost 1.5x more the amount of fuel to produce each volume of it, but it combusts at a rate of less than gasoline so it requires more of it injected into the engine for the same combustion throughput.

Lmao, they're just killing every petrol engine made before 2010 over there to prevent the incoming riots fron being effectively mechanized.

>Dilution of diesel.
The reduction of the sulphur content necessary for the protection of metal components in older diesel systems will have the same effect.

This is one of the shots being fired by a government that has decided it's country's population must be quartered.

Briggs & Stratton found a perfect solution to that by using plastic carburetors. They're way easier to clean and they don't rust or corrode like conventional aluminum carbs, and they can be easily made with plastic that doesn't get damaged by the alcohol whilst resisting any normal engine temperatures.

The problems with ethanol is much more than corrosion, but the fact that it costs more fuel to make each amount of it than it actually produces.

Ethanol is an amazing substance, but it's a piss-poor fuel alternative, even as a fuel additive. Woodgas/Simgas is a much more economical fuel source as it can be produced from biological sources such as grass and manure.

If you were capable of that your sacred rivers wouldn't be full of trash, your best people wouldn't be half caste slaves to tech companies. You're going to be killed in riots or sone crack down by government or revolutionary elements soon to gain material support by China. Truly I hope indians gain some sort of self awareness for as of now their existence is an envionmental hazard that has broken containment seeking to polute and destroy the entirety of the earth all while broadcasting their wickness and lack of empathy for other people and nature. You know the living area for the gharial is almost entirely within india and the surrounding areas? They are one of my favorite animals and on the brink of extinction because they live near people like you. As of now I'd gladly depopulate the entire region of natives just to make more safe space for my favorite fucked up looking giant lizards. You're contribution to the world is less than theirs. Juvenial male gharials too young to procreate will still defend breeding grounds with their lives, meanwhile indians can't be fucked to not throw their trash directly into rivers.

That it's more expensive than petrol doesn't matter much if you can't get petrol, and in many places the nature of taxation makes industrial ethanol a lot cheaper than gasoline.
>it combusts at a rate of less than gasoline so it requires more of it injected into the engine for the same combustion throughput
While it contains less energy and consequently more fuel is required it's a lot more nuanced than that, because it also has many superior attributes, like octane rating and latent heat, which mean it can be compressed far more and precools the combustion mix, reducing volume further, thereby improving eficiency.
While the air-fuel ratio has to be adjusted, and results in a 1/3 decrease in efficiency by fuel volume, a properly optimised ethanol engine has 10-15% better thermal efficiency, which means the mpg drop is just 20% and furthermore reduces combustion gas emissions, especially those besides CO2, which is just 5% lower or so.
