Taking Beaufort Fortress is largely symbolic, without much military meaning. Beaufort offers good local oversight and was a historic outpost, but Hezbollahs core strength lies in its vast rocket/missile arsenal, tunnels, and fighters dispersed across Lebanon not tied to this single ridge. Beaufort held little operational value for Hezbollah. Its a visible, exposed hilltop ruin ideal for static observation but vulnerable to modern strikes. They never invested in defending it.
