2,150,000 sq km if you count the bridge through which the entire Saudi land army invades every time there's a hint of trouble.
You have no idea what you're talking about. This isn't a tinpot regime just barely propped up by a mercenary army. There's an entire regional apparatus ("peninsula shield force") and billions in "foreign aid" from US and NATO spent specifically to prevent it from falling.

>>
>>536148997
There have been several novel countermeasures developed in the Ukraine war as both sides use fibre drones extensively. But the main one is just that the threads left behind by used drones are very visible via surveillance so it's far too easy to track down and strike the operators.

The main use of fibre drones right now are in narrow axes of offensive action, where a concentration of ECM prevents remote surveillance and one side can temporarily achieve "drone superiority" to accomplish some limited objective, then withdraw before the operators are located.

Russia has been suffering an acute shortage of fibre optic cable that has essentially marginalized their use of fibre drones since their main production facility was struck and put out of commission months ago. Despite the cable being relatively cheap to produce, drones burn through it very fast and the world's fibre industry just wasn't set up to meet this sudden spike in demand.
>>
>>536149156
So what would happen if missiles destroyed that bridge? I'm pretty sure I remember reading during the war they were worried about that happening

The longer they drag this out the better for them with the midterms coming up. The only thing is that we are rearming and taking all the interceptors from all over the world and placing them in the ME. So if the shooting starts up again they'll be plenty of interceptors available for our greatest ally.

In the west, militaries in general are very protective of their current doctrine.
Apparently the Great Satan is going to spend $50 billion USD on searching for an FPV drone provider. The thing is they already tried that in 2024 with the switchblade program, which failed miserably. >they actually do follow the fibre back

fucking kek

operators either need to spread out more and attack in cross patterns without interference or centralize their spools and eject the control half far from their position

even a second much smaller drone would save lives that carried the control end of the wire away from your position immediately after striking your target, even some pneumatic projectile would send the operators end of the cable far enough to confuse positions

drones are doing what the crossbow did, in terms of changing warfare to be honest

it’s the best thing out there and tweaking it just a little makes it much worse, windlasses, different woods, repeaters, etc everything got oddly medieval in terms of how both sides are adapting
>>
>>536149653
It's really just the US. It's becoming a meme in all the joint training exercises we do, most NATO countries are already extensively integrating drones, drone protection and anti-drone tactics but the US is lagging way behind because they seem content to just do absolutely nothing about the drone issue until their MIC delivers a wonder solution. We recently ran an arctic training exercise with the US where they "lost" a whole platoon to a drone strike because they packed everyone in a single uncovered tent like sardines.

US doctrine has been growing increasingly rigid and inflexible but the bigger issue is that they learn a lesson, nod, order some new equipment with a decade lead time and then just... don't adapt. Then when it continues to be an issue they just repeat their mistakes at each new exercise and keep nodding their heads.

The issue isn't necessarily that you track the wire right back to where the operator is standing, but that they give you a general area where your ISR drones can search, because an operator can reposition only so quickly. Covering 40km of woodland to find an operator is impractical, but sweeping 1 square km from a used launch spot is trivial and the more fibre drones that are launched, the easier it becomes to zero in on the general area where they're coming from.

If you're in the right general area you'll see signs of human activity, tire tracks, trash, latrine pits, disturbed foliage etc. etc. and eventually it leads you back to where 4 dudes are sitting in a dugouts with a crate of drones.
>>
>>536150004

Nobody but Russia and Ukraine have figured out Drone warfare, but there's a concerted effort across the alliance to integrate drone training and adopt new tactics for a drone battlefield.
For a lot of us this is familiar stuff, since fighting under drone presence is a lot like fighting without air superiority, which we train on because we can't always trust the US to have our backs. For the more novel minutae we have Ukrainian officers joining training exercises and providing insight. The point is not only to increase survivability in a drone battlefield, but also to help officers and policymakers understand what survivability looks like in a modern battlefield. A big reason, for example, you're not going to find Canadian troops on the ground in Iran, because it would be retarded.

These kinds of higher level concepts of how drones change the risk calculus for ground operations is something the US still clearly hasn't internalized.

It isn't so schitzo. It forced your country and UAE to make peace with Israel, and possibly now Saudi. Iran is also giving us excuses to conquer more parts of Greater Israel. I know you probably believe the retards in this general, but Iran hardly did anything to us too. It was a really gay war. The operator needs to be stationary while piloting the drone because you can't put any tension on the fibre line. If you get into your IMV afterwards and drive off, you leave tire tracks that are easy to follow. You don't stay near the road because the roads are all under 24/7 surveillance anyways.

Repositioning on foot doesn't cover enough ground quickly enough, and also if you're marching for hours after each drone launch then your rate of fire is negligible and you're effectively suppressed anyways.

“The Iranian attacks were precise. There are no random craters indicating misses,” said Mark Cancian, a senior adviser with the Center for Strategic and International Studies and a retired Marine Corps colonel, who reviewed the Iranian images at The Post’s request. The Post previously revealed how Russia provided Iran with intelligence to target U.S. forces.

Yes. US surveillance drones use a secondary inertial navigation system which Iran reverse engineered from the hundreds of downed drones over their territory.
It never occurred to the US that they could make a cheap standoff strike munition by just taking that elegantly simple and cheap system and a rocket motor without putting a fucking computer in it.

I think it timely to remind everyone that the notion that Pezeshkian is this cuck reformist who wants to bow down to ZOG has its entire basis in Israeli media reporting from "anonymous sources".
In Iran, the president is a purely civilian administrator and Pezeshkian was thus deemed a "reformist" in matters like economy and infrastructure, not in anything relating to ideology or military where he has absolutely no role.
You can spot foreign divide-and-conquer ops by simply checking whether they claim that a civilian officer (Pezeshkian, Araghchi, etc.) is trying to have influence or complain about ideological or military affairs.
That never happens in Iran. There's an intentional and inviolable separation between the two spheres.

Don't confuse the political reformists with people like the monarchists and other westernized cucks.
Reformists have ruled for a long time in Iran, including the Khatami and Rouhani presidencies recently, yet that didn't lead to Iran getting closer to ZOG.
Iranian political reformism has always been about internal economic and social affairs, there are candidates that try to propose reforms to ideology or military strategy but they instantly get stamped out by the Guardian Council.
As one example Javad Zarif (ex foreign minister) recently proposed changing Iran's ideological stance towards the US, and he got promptly ostracized from the reformist faction.
Every country needs a healthy political opposition in some shape or form, Iran is no different.

>In response to the claims raised regarding the guarantees of the memorandum of understanding:
>It should be endeavored to speak based on the current text of the agreement. It is clear that in the 14 articles proposed by Iran, no article explicitly refers to the reciprocity of steps.
>It is appropriate to name the article that expresses the reciprocity of steps.

>It is claimed that a committee, consisting of two permanent members of the Security Council and accompanied by several other countries, has been considered for monitoring the implementation of the parties' commitments.
>Firstly, this provision was part of Iran's previous proposal, and following the United States' refusal to accept it, Iran has modified this clause.

>That is, in Iran's latest proposal, there is no mention of the presence of the two permanent members of the Security Council, namely China and Russia, for oversight.
>Secondly, in the JCPOA, all five permanent members of the Security Council were members of the Joint Commission to oversee the fulfillment of commitments. Has this oversight benefited Iran, or has it benefited Iran's enemies?

>It has been stated that control over the Strait of Hormuz, as a guarantee, will remain in Iran's hands.
>First of all, this statement is completely incorrect because Iran's proposal states that immediately and upon the signing of the memorandum of understanding—meaning without the need for any negotiations—Iran is obligated to open the Strait of Hormuz for the passage of all commercial ships!!

>It has been stated that no agreement has yet been reached for us to enter negotiations, but unfortunately, the opening of the Strait of Hormuz will take place immediately and following the signing of the memorandum of understanding, and as was mentioned, Iran has committed to opening the Strait of Hormuz without the need for any negotiations and to withdraw from its control and management.

>Therefore, the Strait of Hormuz, which is Iran’s most important asset, will be completely removed from the Iranian nation without the need for negotiation and immediately after the signing of the memorandum of understanding, and it cannot serve as a guarantee for America’s commitments.

>I suggest:
>Firstly: The latest 14-point text presented by Iran should be carefully studied
>Secondly: The 14-point agreement text should be published for the dear people of Iran who have been present in the city squares for more than 90 days, so that they become aware of it and judge the raised claims.

>we'd like to delay 90 days before the 60 day ceasefire period from the MoU
You guys do realize Iran just made it clear they are keeping the strait closed until Trump is no longer president, right?

I don't think anyone makes me seethe more than these iranian diaspora fuckers.
Its completely fine to hate the iranian regime no problems there, denounce the 30000/40000/50000/60000 deaths that keep changing every time thats fine as well, but nothing makes me seethe more than someone announcing talks or negotiations or whatever and then a fucker living 6 gorillion miles away from iran having the Israeli and monarchy flag in their username starts seething about it and asking to continue the war.
Nigger, These people were invoking genocidal rhetoric just weeks ago and thousands of confirmed civilians died in the strikes, do you think these people want to liberate iran? God damn i hate those niggers so much, zero problems with actual organic non-mossad protesters in iran and assaulting them is a crime, but these niggers are happily willing to sacrifice millions of their countrymen to get their politics while sitting safely in the west. Kill all monarchy loyalist niggers, thank you for your attention on this matter

American weapons can do everything except be affordable enough to fire more than once.
It's like an entire military running on a 12 year old's conception of coolness.

Define "autonomous" because right now nobody is building AI to run on a toaster (figuratively or literally) meaning you're either
1) Right back in the realm of 2-20 million dollar munitions
Or
2) Right back to tethered or satellite enabled drones
In fact I'd argue that the second biggest thing preventing the invention of killbots is AIslop corpo greed & ego making them completely unwilling and unable to deploy or develop things not hooked up to the cloud nonstop.

well to be fair that's what i was seeing with most of /pig/. during the ceasefire everyone was whining about nothing ever happening. they were begging for hostilities to start again. and even now that they have, it's not enough for some people. the blood lust is real

We’re not bloodthirsty. It’s just that if Iran is to achieve its geopolitical objectives, it can only do so through force.

It's not, they're retarded.
t. works with AI on a daily basis. These people don't know shit about the actual nuts & bolts, which is why all of their 'research' and 'strategy' is useless.

Guilty, but to be fair I'm an accelerationist. Momentum is the only force capable of freeing us from ZOG. USrael needs to get locked into a quagmire, lose spectacularly, call up a draft and then spark a Revolution as a result. The economic collapse adds fuel to the fire. Chaos is a ladder and all that jazz. If this doesn't go completely sideways it will just be a steady march into a dystopian hellscape.
