Case in point: this swedish guy has been making interesting business/financial videos for years that barely get any views. I always watch and have frankly been inspired by him. To be honest I'm not sure why he keeps doing it at this point but I admire his perseverance. Does youtube just not recommend him to anyone? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neSFqIpsCsQ

That’s just the nature of the world, OP. The best stuff always gets the least views: https://youtu.be/Pn-qfpoCtXE

>>536181539Most of the channels I watch get like 2k views per video, but hundreds of likes and comments. If they're lucky they get a couple of videos that go viral and get a few hundred k views.I find the best content is from the 2k to 20k views creators. It's important to support these small channels and encourage them to keep going

>>536181539>Why are great youtubers hard to findMonetization is the answer. When views equal dollars, people will do whatever it takes to gets views. It gradually evolves into a race to the bottom where people need to increase the shock value of their content to get more views while quality greatly diminishes. Dumb people see it as a quick way to make a buck but aren't smart enough to create original unique content, and so they just copy ideas or outright steal videos and make 'reaction' videos to claim it as there own. One of my favorite YouTubers is Academy of Ideas.
>>536181539Do you have any idea of how overly saturated YT and other platforms are in sheer volume of uploads per day?And also, the algorithm determines what gets seen and what doesn't, and YT and others DO NOT CARE if you put your blood sweat and tears into making quality videos, that won't persuade the algorithm, nobody will say "aww, geez, anon really cranked out some quality content!! Better support him!".None of that matters, quality does not matter, the platform will not reach out and acknowledge you, you are utterly disposable as a content creator who by the way didn't sign any legal documents before you started to work FOR FREE, adding your own hours of piss content into an ocean of piss that runs hours and hours upon ads. That's the whole point of YT. They just want as many hours as content as you can give them, because they can run some sort of ad on almost anything, which means ((they)) can legally take advertiser money for the ads run from the free shit that you, the techno-simp, so kindly offered to them, free of charge. To make things simple, do you really think that YT gives a shit whether you did a good job? Content creators are just the suckers who keep the ad revenue flowing, regardless of how good the content is. in fact, bad content is better, because it's easier to create, and idiots will still show up to watch it.Also, these technofucks will probably string you along with ghost views and sudden spikes, to get that dopeamine flowing through your brain. Big number = success. You're SO CLOSE, bro!! So close to being world famous!! (Not).

>>536181539I've seen other high quality channels disappear over the years. They all had the same problem: Youtube wants long-form content, or at least a steady length of videos. He doesn't provide this timing, but talks as long as he sees fit on a topic.
