During late stage Roman empire, Roman citizens, their bellies full and empire at it's peak, enjoyed watching violent spectacles, blissfully unaware of their impending doom. The patricians were all too happy to provide distractions for the plebian with bread and circuses.

Correct.

I don't know what happened in Rome, but I do know what's happening in US and how it ends... I think we now all do.

Unfortunate, but true.

How do you think it will end anon? Do you favour the theory of Balkanization, some kind of mass exodus, or just good old fashioned Haiti-style anarchy?

About 740 years. Gladiator games kicked off in Rome in 264 BC with the first recorded fights, and the Western Roman Empire wrapped up in 476 AD when the last emperor was deposed. Add 'em up—264 plus 476 gets you 740.

People who make this analogy for get that the Gladiator bread and circus games went on for nearly half the empires lifetime, it's not like this happened in the last hundred years of it

Yeah, but most people think this is fake and gay self aggrandizement from Trump. It's like 30% tops that's actually excited for this slop

there's a sharp shift in republic era Roman genetics and imperial era genetics. Even Augustus speaks of how many browns from the Near East(yes, they were still brown even before the Arabs invaded) had arrived in Italia, millions of them. The same thing is happening in the West today, speaheaded by Latinx, Jeets, and Muslims.

Hyper-inflation played a bigger role in the collapse of the Roman Empire than "bread and circuses" did. There was violence all throughout the Roman Empire, a lot of it was military violence against other tribes.

As long as the US doesn't face hyperinflation and has the USD as World Reserve Currency, it will mostly be fine. The worst case scenario I see for the US is becoming "just another Latin American country" really.

>During late stage
This was a thing since the Roman kingdom, Dr. Chud, historian PhD.

Apparently, they’re concerned about the insects and the heat having the fights outside in DC.

Trump should just scrap the entire thing it's a huge flop and embarrassment
