Why does no one talk about river pollution or the aquifers drying up?
>>
>>536286665
I remember reading years ago that the aquifers are running dry. Combine that with high fertilizer and pesticide prices and US reserve currency lose, and Americans are on their ways to be dealing with a famine
>>
>>536286665
>The largest groundwater supply in the United States is the High Plains Aquifer (often called the Ogallala Aquifer). Spanning 250,000 square miles across eight states (South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas)
>South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas
Who did they vote for in 2024?

This isn't new. The aquifers have been running dry for years. Some states like NM and CO actually ban rainwater collection

the famine will kill all the people that would dare waste the water needed to keep the data centers propping up the ponzi scheme economy running so its win win actually

The bronze age collapse was due to multiple shitstorms happening simultaneously. It could very well happen to us. If the 2008 financial collapse had happened during covid, none of us would be here now. Our global society and its supply chains are extremely delicate.
>>
>>536287394
>If the 2008 financial collapse had happened during covid, none of us would be here now.

Explain. COVID was an intentional psyop. The aquifers drying up is real (also why wells are insanely expensive in places like Arizona and New Mexico)

Then you'd better not concern yourself with the situation in texas. There they even need now desalination plants to supply their cities, and they're letting the cities grow even larger. If energy ever becomes too expensive, they're completely screwed.

bro, what if we dig to the core of the earth, think about it.
1.water from the mantle
2.use it for infinite geothermal power 3.throw the garbage down there

could only cost like what, a million bucks to get to the core. surprised no ones done this since they filmed that documentry the core and found those diamonds

Collecting rainwater for private use is legal in all 50 states, and even encouraged as it cuts down on water usage from the municipal water sources.

The mantle is like warm taffy, it folds back into any void created by a drill or whatever. Not to mention melting the drill bit too. This is why it's impossible to drill in it

You don't have to dig into the mantle. It's where water comes from. You think water comes from the sky? Water doesn't run out - it just changes form and moves around.
>>
>>536289136
Incorrect. Rainfall, rivers, as well as irrigation canals and some amount of the water used in irrigation of crops will all recharge aquifers. The Ogallala Aquifer is estimated to have been depleted 10% since the 50s, when it began to be heavily tapped into for the first time. In some areas the water level has increased though, as it is not heavily drawn from and continues to be charged through rainfall.
>>
I live in Nebraska. People talk about it, but nobody does anything or cares. The GOP has controlled all levels of the state government, except for the city councils of Lincoln and Omaha, for decades. They always talk about problems, but never do anything about it. Every election cycle they talk about lowering property taxes and balancing the budget, but never do.

The governor wants to build a massive "fake lake" to attract "tourism" to Nebraska. A state where everything west of the 100th meridian is too dry to grow anything without pivots coming from the aquifer.
>>
>>536289801
Wyoming has mountain snowfall they collect in reservoirs that are used for water runs into Nebraska for irrigation canals. They are contributing to the recharge of the acquirer as well as reducing well usage in western Nebraska.
>>
>>536289955
>The governor wants to build a massive "fake lake" to attract "tourism" to Nebraska.

Lolol. Tourism in Nebraska. Total cold (and hot) shithole filled with fat old people and 12 year old Spic animal slaughterers exploited by Republikikes.

Lake McConaughy already exists. Dry land farming exists pretty much everywhere in western Nebraska as well as well irrigated farming and canal (Wyoming snow run off) irrigated farming.

Yeah, Western part of the state. Which is still very dry compared to the Eastern US (only wet area in the Western US is the small patch of rainforest in the PNW).

It's happening here in Waterloo Ontario we got flooded with infinity pajeets and a ton of these shit-shack suburbs got built just for us to realize we've hit our limit now on everything and can't build anything further without doing to our water supply what Iran did to their own. Instead of focusing on slow growth and quality everything we just rapidly expanded and hit a hard limit.
