Remember - in modern America:

>10% of the population is responsible for more than 50% of consumer spending
>Companies are increasingly abandoning the 'middle market' and are either selling higher-end products to richfags, or ultra-low-end slop to everyone else

This is what the economic future will look like, and it's only just beginning. The top 10-15% of American households now have so much money that they can carry the corporate economy on their backs, leading to ever-rising stock prices. The other 85% are simply not that useful the economy anymore.

The lesson is clear - do what you need to get ahead. To get above the 85th percentile. Don't be a poorfag and doom your family to misery and poverty in the future.

I'm not buying that fucking garbage lmao
>>
>>536301251
Wonderful, hope they enjoy buying their expensive planned obsolescence shit boxes that depreciate faster than a jew chews up a foreskin. Becoming a NEET was the greatest decision of my life. I can't imagine working and paying taxes into this shit country or investing lmao
>>
>>536301251
The 10% doing 90% of the spending are not the wealthy people, anon. It is dumb fucks and niggers running up consumer debt.
>>
>>536301383
are you a welfare neet or a supported by their family neet
>>
>>536301460
Ironically I was an engineer, even worked in the car industry for a time on communications. I saw this shit show unfolding 17 years ago. It's funny how predictable everything is when you understand the greed in human nature. Auto industry is going to collapse in the next few years, you can bank on that.

And no, I receive zero welfare or any gibs. I'm not going to be a nigger.
>>
>>536301579
so are you an investment neet or a supported by their family neet? something pays the bills and fills the fridge
>>
>>536301579
>MUH COLLAPSE!!!

Lol, no - that's the point. It doesn't work like that anymore. Carmakers are getting by because they can peddle more expensive products to fewer buyers. They don't need 'the mass market' nearly as much anymore. Las Vegas casinos are still profitable despite the decline in visitors, because they are raising prices and catering even more to the high-rollers. Etc.
>>
>>536301660
I get by just fine, that's all that needs to be said. Helps being so minimalist that I literally don't want anything. I do buy the occasional tool. Also, I've been learning to sew to make my own clothes, stealth tactical too.

I know this and I’m kind of scared. Part of my family is “middle class”:
>college degrees
>respectable careers (teachers, nurses, self-employed white collar etc)
>late model cars
>homes worth $300k-$500k range
>yearly income in the $125k-$175k range
They honestly don’t seem affected by inflation
The rest of us:
>high school or college dropouts
>Low income (retail jobs, fast food places, etc)
>rent apts or live in mobile homes or live with roommates
>drive beaters from the 90s to early 10s
>clip coupons
>cut down on unnecessary trips to save gas
>never eat out
>drinking or drug problem or both
Life was never easy for us poors but it’s so much more difficult with Trump, he and his administration genuinely don’t give a shit about poor people and I feel it’s going to get worse for us
>>
>>536301751
Clearly you don't understand shit. These rich fucks are buying cars that have massive depreciation, so in 4 years even if they want to buy another with trade-in, they're looking at massive negative equity in the roll over. Not to mention the cars are effectively prohibitively irreparable planned obsolescence, so their resale value long-term is zero relative to value/repair cost.

But that's the goal isn't it? Enshitification is accelerating because private equity and major tech companies don't see any long-term future. They're willing to burn their shit to the ground just max out short-term profits and bail, leaving the suckers that come in after them to eat the bowl of shit they left behind.

I can tell you right now, within the next 2 years the market is going to collapse worse than the great depression, and the cascade across every industry is going to collapse the country to the point of balkanization.

>>536301978
Believe whatever you want, I don't lie, but I'm not going to take the bait either.

People with high incomes don't really care about physical asset depreciation, because they have the means to simply replace products by purchasing newer ones. People without the money to do this are increasingly being put at a disadvantage.

Here's a related trend - Trump is cutting a trillion dollars from the Medicaid program next year. Male NEETs are getting kicked off entirely. It is projected that quite a few clinics and hospitals in smaller towns or cities will end up closing due to lack of income.

But those towns and cities are full of people with lower incomes. The government is gradually pulling back on its outlays and 'investments' in the lower classes, because they fundamentally don't matter. That money can go to other uses, like military bloat.

The only way to defend yourself against these trends is to have your own wealth and above-average income. I'm a messenger warning people to take this fact seriously.

That's fine, like I said in the first post, they can enjoy buying all the new cars/trucks themselves. Even if I could afford a new car, I'd still never buy one under any circumstance. If I was wealthy enough, I'd have a car built for me custom or restored rather than buy a shit box.

>>
>>536302873
"I/me/my" shit is irrelevant here. This is just one example of the broader trend, which is the withdrawal of affordable or subsidized products and services to people in lower income tiers. Being poor is going to let 'leaner and meaner' in the US over time.

There is going to be a much sharper and more pronounced gap between people who can afford things (like modern AI/drone/etc. security systems) and those who cannot. It's going to be more like a Latin American shithole in terms of social dynamics.
>>
>>536302848
Wealthy is relative to the environment. They may be wealthy now, in a few years they might be laying a ditch as a maggot whore house.
>>
>>536301251
Inequality leads to polarization. This has always been true, and the two speed economy of modern America is just going to lead to more polarization, more violence, and even the economy will suffer for it.

Where you went to junior, middle and high school matters in life. It determines your future. Even a degree won’t help you unless it’s from the ivies or a very indemand specialist non larp degree. The future is going to be like the book/tv show the expanse, half of the people on earth won’t have jobs because there aren’t any and they get basic gibsmedats.

>>536301251
>The lesson is clear
of course, the solution isn't to fix a blatantly broken, unsustainable system
its simply to try to win within that obviously non-functional system to live it up before it implodes

Even living in a van has become so much more expensive. When I first set out doing vanlife in America in 2015, many people paid $2000 for a reliable Econoline or Dodge van in decent condition. A decade later all of those vans are in the junkyard, and if you want a reliable Sprinter or Transit van, you'll have to fork over $10,000.
>>
>>536303191
No, it’s not, I don’t know what you are describing, hood rich maybe ?
>>
>>536303622
My nigger, this shit is not getting fixed. I'm trying to provide some warning before the train goes off the rails.

>Well, they should just fix the bridge instead of letting the train crash into the ravine!

But they won't. And we can't make them. You can only save yourself.

>>536303498
A relatively small class of servants and functionaries who serve the elites is the norm throughout history. This is not a new thing; it's actually quite old.
>>
>>536303498
Withdrawal of welfare means that poors will be forced to work in order to survive. If the American natives won't do those jobs, ten million immigrants will be happy to do them. If the natives cause a ruckus about being replaced, they can go live for free in prison.

>some warning
>just get rich lol
you're actually retarded
>>
>>536303888
Checked but I don't think you can buy any running Transit or especially any running Sprinter for only $10K. Regardless this isn't about saving money it's about building equity and investing towards one's future and the fact younger generations have been completely cut off from both.

how many overpriced vehicles can one person buy, really? or any other product for that matter
>>
>>536306151
I don't personally know. But corporations themselves have run through the numbers using all kinds of min-max algorithms. In other words, it seems to be the case that selling 10 million people a $15,000 car every 10 to 15 years is not as profitable as selling the wealthiest 1.5 million of those buyers a $150,000 car every 5 to 7 years. They have the calculations.
>>
>>536301350
This.
I hope they all go bankrupt trying to sell $100k pickups. There's 0 reason car companies can't manufacture trucks in old school style like early 2000 Tacomas or Ford Rangers and sell them for $12k

Except that is for you the regular folks. The system is/has already begun moving away from serving the needs of regulars. Government is done entertaining the whims of the people, technology doesn't even need a govt serving you at all. While you are still wandering around grumbling it is all advancing and leaving you where you are, far far behind the curve.
