Most Americans love America but hate Washington, D.C.

Do you hate the federal government?

Taxes should be much higher for top earners and much lower for middle class. Taxes should be determined by yearly adjusted brackets pinned to inflation.
>>
>>536349765
Why? Perhaps you are just envious of the rich.
>>
>>536349814
he did not say rich
he said top earners
and that super wrong
actually taxes should be based on land, Georgism is the way
stonks can be taxed as land
>>
>>536349902
Why should any taxes be higher?
If the government is evil then why feed the beast?
Not to mention, the government can literally print money out of thin air.
>>
>>536350006
government is a protection racket at best, so if you have lots of land you should pay lots of protection money

taxing income is very wrong, you effectively destroy income
>>
>>536349516
Hating the government is an American pastime. If you don't hate the state, are you even American? Left, right, we should all hate Uncle Sam.
>>
When will government cotton pickers realize that nobody has to bow down to the federal plantation?

Anyone who advocates for taxes is a normie.

>think about how much EBT i could get
>>
>>536349765
Income tax should be zero. Land value tax should be the only tax.
>>
>>536349902
>taxes should be based on land, Georgism is the way
Land taxes are always arbitrary. You pay what the government bureaucrat cooks up instead of some consistent figure based on an actual purchase price. Completely unjust.
>>
>>536350592
If you have to pay tax on land then you don't own the land.

> Why?
A healthy (means growing) middle class should be incentivize. Being poor has and always will have built in incentives to not want to be it, other than minor exceptions to the rule. Being rich should not be incentivized and definitely should not allow the run away wealth gaps that we have here. It is and always does lead to literally every problem we have. Theres nothing wrong with, nor "le capitalism" destroying by limiting the insane top %ers. Its not unknowable ranges too hard to define. Theres plenty of data and compute to figure out livable income and the cost of living, for 2 standard deviations from median, then cap the above (hard) and give excess to the bottom. Then give the biggest tax breaks the closer to the median you get with out going below it. This bell curve can be pinned relative to money printers going brrrr and whatever other shenanigans, so it doesnt matter if $1billion tmrw is todays $1million.

Problem?

Didn't income tax spawn in after they banned alcohol?
>>
>>536350592
No way. I want to own something when I buy it. Income tax and sales tax are two that I agree with. Paying money for something you own indefinitely is bullshit.

B-but I thought wanting to be rich and being greedy were actually good things in capitalism? Which one is it? Is envying having more a sin or is it a good thing?
>>
>>536350179
>taxing income is very wrong, you effectively destroy income
There is no law requiring you to pay income tax.

The love of money is the root of all evil, and, envying others is a sin.

The rich who worship mammon will perish, and the poor that envy the rich will perish as well.

>>536350784
It was to pay for WW1 and they kept it around because trying to run a modern state purely on tariffs and other regressive consumption-based taxes is retarded.

No.

Okay, so capitalism is anti-christian. Got it.

In the UK income tax was the initial tax created.

It was supposed to be temporary to raise funds for the war with France.

Fast forward to now we have over 20 taxes here, including an inheritance tax where the state takes part of a dead person's assets.

Yet somehow someway government boot licking cucks will defend taxes.

What gives you the right to claim exclusive ownership of a chunk of the finite earth. You did not make it, and neither did the person who sold it to you. Land ownership is illegitimate. The only way in which land "ownership" could ever be acceptable is if you have to personally defend your land. Having the state enforce you claim is not acceptable.

no lmao. taxes should be high for corporations

It does none of those things. You want to encourage middle class. You dont want to encourage poverty but that is built in always. And you also dont want to encourage neo-feudalism and a hourglass economy. 1-2 standard deviations along a normal distribution curve has plenty of capitalism incentives. In the usa, currently $50,779/yr is a livable median per adult person (no kids). 1 standard deviation (middle class) would be between $25-76k/year. Thats plenty to compete and incentivized over. 2 standard deviations, you get 0-102k. So 1 person making 76-102k/yr should get a high earners tax, still plenty of incentive even if they pay more %. Above that, making 103k/yr+ should basically get most (50%) of their income taxed. These current number for 2026, but every year they can be adjusted following the same distribution curve, so even as more income is needed by most or money printer, the percentages follow.
>>
>>536351848
> nd neither did the person who sold it to you.
Take it up with them then. I bought it as my own. If i had known that it would not be mine, i would not have bought it.
>>
>>536351617
Thats literally what that means. Greed and wanting more money is capitalism. It the whole goal of capitalism. Those with more envy and greed do better and are rewarded more in capitalism. Therefore if what you said is a sin, then capitalism is a sin (anti-christian)

Taxes are done via a percentage to extract as much money as possible from people. Straight away to anyone who isn't a retard this should be a red flag.

>But without taxes we wouldn't have the roads that were built before taxes for roads became a thing

If taxes were legit we'd get a bill stating how much this shit costs and we'd all pay a fee. Instead of that the (((state))) takes so much money that they have billions to send in foreign aid and housing foreign invaders.

Land is kind of like stolen goods. Just because you paid for stolen goods does not mean you have a right to them.
