Going off the trail in Japan, yes even leaving any bigger city, was a big mistake I made a while ago. Back in the early 00s they still sold magic mushrooms in shibuya vending machines and I thought it's a good idea to try some in beautiful Japanese nature. Just to find out that their forests inhabits an incredible amount of insect monsters and spiders like pic related. They are hand size and their thick webs are on face height.
