Well, it won't be a subprime mortgage bubble this time, the chances are actually pretty good it'll be AI and data centers. An incomprehensible amount of money is currently being funneled into it. If demand ceases to keep up with the expansion (which chances are good it will cease with consumers, but the real money and drive is with businesses and government) then we will see a painful market correction which could cascade out of control across a number of other vulnerable but somewhat related sectors. Commercial real estate has been teetering on the edge since COVID and never recovered properly, that might be one place but the ripple effects across the financial sector from AI would be incalculably massive. The stock market would plummet, with fuel prices already high there would be no good way to make consumer goods come down quickly. Massive layoffs would take place, great degrees of civil unrest as people fail to pay mortgages and rent much less afford transportation and food.

The options then would be disintegration into civil strife, some kind of multi-faction guerilla war of opportunists, or if the government manages to come down hard on all of that shit, it could user in major structural changes to the very government itself (almost inevitably for the worse).

All I know is a growth based economy that depends on exploiting new vessels for debt existing in a society which culturally produces a negative birthrate, even in the outside groups who come here illegally by the truckload is bound to collapse on itself like a dying star eventually, it's just a matter of when and which straw will be the final one.

Its the only way civil war will actually break out.
The governments already in the pocket.
Counter cultures and "revolutions" still depend on rich benefactors.
They wont dissolve the union based on interstate petty bullshit, religious bafoonery, or racial tensions.
if civil war were to ever break out again in america it will be corporate backed 100% on both sides.
Since the first us civil war was basically the state vs the cotton and tabacco industries.
Fuck even the american revolution was the state vs british tea companies.
Get your head out your ass.
Youre missing the forest for the trees.

Trump is doing so badly that a civil war is off the table. The whole left versus right culture war narrative hardly gets anyone riled up any more. Most people see it as elites versus everybody else now. That's a different situation.

The USA is going to end like the USSR did. DC is losing more legitimacy and respect among the states every day.

Not saying I disagree it’s just funny to point things like that out in all reality I definitely do see corporate warfare being a thing in the future

Usa will never balkanize.
The mic and their military bases and infrastructure in every state and county ensure that.

And the one way forward? to embrace communism. Because communism is the one true path and will definitely work this time and not result in a million mass graves like every other time in history
