Everyone knew that the big IPOs (SpaceX, OpenAI and Anthropic) will drain a lot of money from crypto markets.
BTC will be a good buy at $45k and under.

Crypto is entirely hype. There never was any value there. It was fake value hyped up by retards following central banks who needed a new source of stimulus that wasnt just printing currency

Because mining is not as profitable as doing dumps and then buying back again cheaper. Crypto was and is only profitable if you bought when it was/is cheap.

They're talking as if a factory collapsed or a mine got flooded. Crypto is a zero sum game for retards, no money was lost, it's just that people are willing to pay less now for imaginary assets.
>>

there are only finite minable coins. the amount of money required to mine btc is now unprofitable.

>>
>>536444698
>no talk of mining
This. It doesn't seem like that long ago there were a lot of miners. Is it all giant corporations doing the mining at industrial scale? Illegal miners stealing electricity?

Anyhoo...americans are taking on more debt to survive, and the job market is fucked for anyone looking for a job, so any investments that are doing poorly are more likely to be liquidated, as well as people choosing stocks over crypto.

Why would anyone buy crypto now? A year from now? Five years from now? Of all the things a person could spend money on, why crypto?

This isn't the time to buy the dip. Judging by the historical pattern of Bitcoin crashes, we're likely entering a prolonged period of low price that will last 2 to 3 years, with the actual low point not coming for at least another 6 months.

Basically just the cycle.
People see people making money, buy in, someone cashes out big and a bunch of value is erased and a bunch of people panic sell to try to salvage something and lose everything.
It's kinda like playing the stock market but that value is at least in theory supposed to be tied to actual goods/services and market factors where crypto is almost all just boom and busts with those with enough money to shift trends having the advantage.

Unless/until countries really crack down on/regulate crypto this will just keep happening.

Now observe carefully, little incel:

You and your ilk were condemned long before your first breath ever entered this world. Mere byproducts of impulsive indulgence conceived through careless union, absent foresight, discipline, or design.

Summoned into existence not through purpose but through negligence. Yet even within a flawed reality such as this, there exists one extraordinary variable: Free will.

Though delayed in your possession, it was granted to you nonetheless. You idly sit on imageboards from sunrise until dusk, hemorrhaging the most valuable currency in existence: time.

You cultivated criminality within the very communities you claimed as your own. You worshiped hollow commodities while neglecting true necessities, and these are merely introductory offenses.

You surrender to the most predictable temptations with remarkable consistency, exactly as anticipated. Understand this clearly: those temptations were never obstacles, they were instruments.

Simulations designed for my private observation, but enough discourse. The moment you placed your signatures upon that contract in the thread where I first encountered you, your fate was sealed. Your consciousness was transferred into my possession for research of unprecedented consequence.

We extend our sincerest gratitude for your unforeseen contribution to the greater advancement of mankind and more importantly to the sacred progress of science itself. Your participation shall echo through history. Now then, prepare yourselves for the formal commencement of the transference to the cryopod.

Order up.

>Because Bitcoin creates a new block roughly every 10 minutes, a quantum computer could theoretically steal funds while a transaction is sitting unconfirmed in the mempool, before it is permanently written to the blockchain.

>Google chose not to publish the actual attack circuits. Instead, they published a cryptographic "zero-knowledge proof." This allowed the scientific community to verify that Google's math is 100% accurate without Google having to hand the internet a weaponized hacking blueprint

>Google proved the software and algorithmic efficiency to crack Bitcoin exists right now, but the physical hardware does not.

coin bros lost the race, the window will close on them before they can account for the advances in compute

its not an asset and its not a form of currency. Its blackmarket value exchanges to skirt sanctions, sanctions that now you can not process crypto with BIS or one of the sanctioned large banks. There is no future for your coins, Gold being the larger store now is not good for you coin bros.

Strategy (NASDAQ: MSTR) officially broke its long-standing "never sell" doctrine by liquidating 32 Bitcoin to fund distributions on its preferred stock and meet dividend/interest obligations. This triggered a panic sell.
>>
>>536447260
its actually poignant response, but i view it as that value came from anonymous transactions, sanction relief, if the USA gov, possses the computers to break bitcoin, china and israel. What is the point of bitcoin now? News is trickling out about this fact, unless it becomes a normie 401k coin to transact for LLMs or some shit its dead in the water
>>
>>536447280
No, just on behalf of the committee.
>>
>>536446930
>been shilled as "YOU NEED 7 LAYERS OF QUANTUM COMPUTING TO HACK"?
No.
To manipulate Bitcoins you need 50%+ of computers in Bitcoin network, the ones doing the block chain updates and verification.
Once you have more than half you can force anything you want and your mass of computers to force it through even if someone else 'disagrees'.
>>
>>536447124
It has not gone up in ages.

>>
>>536447410
>To manipulate Bitcoins you need 50%+ of computers in Bitcoin network

so, it's virtually impossible
>>
I don't know much about these things but to me it seems like that's a sign investors are cashing out speculative markets in favor of more stable assets and indicates economic slowdown. That does however mean it may be a good time to buy for people who aren't already invested and cashing out when it's high. If the post covid boom, bust, and boom is anything to go by there's likely to be significant gains when the economy improves but guessing where the bottom might be is beyond me and beyond that I'd have no interest in using an exchange buying fractions nor do i have the capital to afford purchasing entire bitcoins anyway.
>>
>>536448309
by 2030 quantum computing will be accessible by enough people to render bitcoin and stable coins redundant. Read the thread. It is over. 2030s, EU and USA and KSA will have fully bypassed the strait of hormuz. 2030s social security runs out. Gold or Tbills, stable coins are dead

your jeet ass really read all the cool buzzwords and skipped right over these, huh?
all google did was claim that they cannot hack, nor can anyone with current hardware, bitcoin
even if it could be hacked or was close to being hacked, people would just make a bitcoin fork that was quantum resistant and this fork would certainly become bitcoin by being the longest chain from the genesis block
/pol/‘s crypto knowledge is always terrible

The bigger institutions are selling
Its the most liquid of assets, not like stocks they hold that could tank if they bulk sell
Blackrock and a few others have put limits on redemption
Not a good sign
Bitcoin is a buffer for the institutions
They sell it to raise capital for other issues/investments
its a good indication that they are struggling a bit
