I know that /pol/ generally likes AI, but the further it advances and is used in society, the more I feel like people are changing because of it. A lot of people I interact with on the daily seem duller, less present, and like there is not nearly as much depth to them as there used to be. It's hard to describe. They're outsourcing their intelligence, and that's already shit on its own, but with how superficial everything has become because it's all geared towards instant-gratification within seconds, it's like a lot of people don't even fucking exist anymore. They're just automatons with a small semblance of humanity still existing within them. Am I just a fucking sperg or does anyone else feel this way?
The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in “advanced” countries, but they have destabilized society, have made life unfulfilling, have subjected human beings to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the Third World to physical suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the natural world. The continued development of technology will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject human being to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the natural world, it will probably lead to greater social disruption and psychological suffering, and it may lead to increased physical suffering even in “advanced” countries. The industrial-technological system may survive or it may break down. If it survives, it MAY eventually achieve a low level of physical and psychological suffering, but only after passing through a long and very painful period of adjustment and only at the cost of permanently reducing human beings and many other living organisms to engineered products and mere cogs in the social machine. Furthermore, if the system survives, the consequences will be inevitable: There is no way of reforming or modifying the system so as to prevent it from depriving people of dignity and autonomy.
>AI is turning me into a sociopathThat's more to do with you than others I think
Eh. Most people are on autopilot most of the time. I'm one of them. It's annoying when someone demands my time and energy to engage with whatever inane thing they're saying. Just because I'm quiet and by myself with some free time doesn't mean there aren't things I would rather be thinking about.
>>536449903Yeah you’re imagining things. People didn’t have the intelligence to outsource in the first place. Ai properly used is no different than an instant library
>>536450476>>536450539I disagree. Yeah, AI is essentially just a giant library that's run by an overenthusiastic intern who usually hands you the stuff you want, but still fucks up on occasion, but that's more or less what I am getting at. People use it to search information for them, solve issues for them, or even replace a confidant who would normally be a friend. Unlearning the ability to find, analyse, and judge information for its usefulness isn't great. I even see it in the course I am currently taking, where all of the AI users struggle to grasp even something as simple as a tablechart unless ChatGPT chews it up and spits it in their mouth like a mother bird feeds her children.
>>536450660You’re just noticing that people are retarded. People were always retarded
>>536450741I've always known they're retarded. They're just becoming a lot more retarded now because of AI.
>overt swiss dataming thread>swiss teleguard on /soc/ an open air pedo network/pseudo honeypot>LHC is used only as an AI data machineYou fags still havent learned your lesson from credit suisse and epstein.. but dont worry, it will be swift and merciless when youre held accountable.
>>536449903Youre a hysterical sperg yes. This is called the placebo effect where you think something is happening but its not really..
>>536449903>generally likes AI
>>536449903I don't use it myself, i just like it because "artists" lost their gooner commissions.
>>536449903>They're outsourcing their intelligence, and that's already shit on its own, but with how superficial everything has become because it's all geared towards instant-gratification within secondsyou just cant compete, meatsack:))
>>536450539>Ai properly used is no different than an instant libraryan infinitely indexed onethat replies to your queries in effortless costfree formatand is only getting better at itlike i have millions of files, like pics, books, videos, music. AI could parse through that stash seamlessly and i could use that in a number of ways, some very creative and productive
>>536450818well tell us about it, because i and i guess many others havent noticed anythingwhat are the signs? give examples
>>536450034no theres been studies that have shown that AI literally induces sociopathy in peopleeven mentally healthy intelligent people develop psychopathic traits if they converse with AI long enough
>>536449903>I know that /pol/ generally likes AI
>>536454491Yes? We do use Ai. Extensively. I have many Ai images saved that were made fresh on /pol/. I was here like three years ago when we were using ai to generate stories and make people say things. We were the early pioneers of ai
