This obviously affected countries with large Jewish populations a great deal. Before WW2 whites would openly call out Jews being Jews. After WW2 they were forbidden from doing so or it would have made all the sacrifices and atrocities of WW2 seem like maybe they weren't worth it. The USA in particular needed for it to be worth it. They dropped nukes in the largest war crime in history. They needed to be seen as liberators against an evil bigger evil then they were. Hence the holocaust myth was held up as fact and they had to pretend that all those stereotypes and actions of Jews were not real lest Germany be seen as rational in its actions.
