So they look at their children struggling to support a lifestyle half as good as they had at that age and assume it must be because they're just not working hard enough and not saving enough - which would have been true in the early 70's but certainly is not the case today. This creates a sense of superiority in the boomer mind and, subsequently, resentment of the younger generations. It's wrong to say boomers were given everything or lived easy lives - to be fair, boomers worked for what they got. It's more accurate to say millennials and zoomers have been robbed of the rewards of hard work. They get pennies on the dollar for the work their parents did. This is why you see both an explosion in zoomers checking out and a generational resentment towards boomers.

They could afford a house in the Bay Area, 3 kids, cars, vacations, home renovations, etc. Today, people with the exact same background and jobs (if they're lucky enough to get them) would barely be able to afford rent in the same town. The old "hard work and bootstraps" meme hasn't applied in 20 years.
Curiously, men are pretty open to providing for women who have zero money to their name as long as they are somewhat nice to be around. When it's the other way around and women have more or less same income as men, women see no value in keeping men around just because they might be cool or tolerable company. Btw never going to work or do anything else just to get pussy again which anyone should be getting anyway. Not accepting any conditions either where most men are boring and it's bad but just as many women are boring and it doesn't matter.
