I think it's telling that the Chinese economy is doing so badly and is so mismanaged that even in the worse energy crisis in modern history, they are still experiencing record deflation. Prices for everything are still decreasing hard, housing is at a 20 year low, even food and fuel prices are falling. We're looking at the worse deflationary death spiral in human history, a thousands times worse than the great depression or the Japanese asset bubble. No economy can survive this much sustained deflation, something has got to give
