A quick check tells me that the complex was originally supposed to be a hotel and it has about 11000 rooms, I'm sure if we felt the need New York could probably make something that big but as it stands the current single largest Apartment building in the US is the Sky in Manhattan was 1,175 rooms. It's about the same height as the Regent center but has almost double the number of floors. We'll probably start seeing more large buildings go up soon desu, especially if they do anything about the Projects since those collectively are larger but it's spread over like 35 buildings for the largest grouping.
