Here in Spain we have spanish supermarkets and then the big ones like Auchan, Carrefour and since some years ago Lidl and Aldi. More competition is always better for prices. I went for the first time to Aldi recently and didn't see anything special. It looked like a Lidl but smaller. Maybe the one I went was a smaller one and there are bigger ones, I don't know.

And then even places like Whole Foods will actually be the cheapest for a small handful of organic products. But of course, doing this costs you time and money, so you don't really get the true savings anyway
