Everywhere these are popping up. Months later the Save Alot or Krogers is gone. They provide a portion of the jobs and have a closed supply chain, you almost never see any American brands here for whatever reason. Is this some sort of subsidized takeover of our grocery industry? Do they put sawdust in the food? Congress should look into it
>>536522967You're being served proper food. It tastes like sawdust for you because it ain't full of sugar and corn syrup. Say thank you
>>536522967it's all bio-engineered
>>536522967unironically here in Socal my local Aldi has better prices, and better food than the other options in the area. i wont go buy American brands from Ralph's (this is what Kroger calls themselves here) just because theyre American. make better food US
>>536523025I never go there. I just assume it's a gimmick but they are popping up everywhere In Florida. They surround well established grocery stores geographically and strangle them like some parasite
>>536522967Go and check the ingredients. It’s mostly slop in ‘shrinkflation’ packaging. They do have some nice imported food but some if absolutely packed with salt. That said groceries is a Jewish business, so I don’t care.
TOTAL ALDI VICTORY
>>536523101Aldi food is garbage, even their dairy products are full of gum and shit.

knew a guy who was a grocery manager at a store chain bought out by aldi's. They didn't lay off the employees immediately, but would look for petty ways to fire them. In the bakery, the women in the department marked down expired cupcakes for my friend. he bought and consumed them. The new store manager brought him into his office, claimed he had stolen the cupcakes and tried to coerce him into revealing who had marked down the cupcakes. My friend refused and as a result was fired on the spot as well as the entire bakery department. aldi's pressed charges on all suspected to be involved as theft. The judge threw out the case of course
Aldi is for poor people.
>>536522967>Save Alottheir food is terrible, it's like below walmart generic tier shit you don't see anywhere elselike only the poorest niggers and such go there, I went there when I was a broke ass nigger

I almost was gonna work at Aldi until I heard they time your cashier transactions which means my job would be on the line every time Grandma needs to write a check or go through her coupon collection
>>536523278that'll be everywhere soon
>>536523101Everything in this post. It's a great store. It's sad the typical citizen is so self-centered and inconsiderate that they have to do the quarter in the carts thing, but I feel like it sets the tone so you see less degens in the store overall. It's so cal so it's still a wasteland of half-animals, but ALDI folks are way better behaved than the full on gorillas at Wal-Mart. They also get new items every week, so you're always going to find something different. Last time my wife went, she found a nice new window-mounted cat bed for like $8. The milk and eggs are each almost a dollar cheaper. I mean shit, a 12 pack of coke cans is $10(!) at walmart but the aldi brand is like $4.
>>536522967Aldi runs more efficiently than American grocers, requiring fewer employees so the products can be sold cheaper. It also carries mainly off-brand generic items which are cheaper than mainstream alternatives at other stores.I think the proliferation of Aldi in North America is a sign of general economic tightening, as people on budgets can't really justify going to other stores when Aldi is cheaper.>>536523251>it's like below walmart generic tier shitthat only matters if your diet consists of processed slop that comes in a box... if you eat real food, there's no difference

>>536522967If you buy normal food that you need to cook like vegetables, protein, and starches then Aldi is god tier. You will walk out spending $30 when anywhere else you would spend $60. I'm sorry they don't have whatever sugar cereal or sandwich cookie you were looking for.
>>536523267You don’t check labels otherwise you wouldn’t be buying aldi slop>>536523355You drink coke in 2026

>>536523642In USA Aldi is low cost brand unlike in Europe, it’s entirely different
>>536523682Aldi has always been a low-cost brand. That's what made it big. High quality at low prices. In all quality tests, their products were always among the top performers. Still in germany, children always made fun of families who shopped at aldi. But everyone did it anyway.
>>536523649around me they usually charge like 40-50 cents less per avocado. but i still mostly go to shoprite.

>>536524108>It's spreading like it is some evil group of military commanders strategizing how to conquer everyone.right place and right time. Aldi's is for poor people, it just happens that most people are poor nowadays, I go there myself and the lines remind me of great depression lines. Only thing that pisses me off is seeing the ugly subhuman mexicrents pull out 2-3 ebt cards when it's time to pay while all the white folk have small baskets of food they pay in cash
>>536523925No, youre wrong, probably you are brownoid or something. In USA Aldi is basically micro packaging of bioengineered and heavily processed slop. Even their pastas and staples are bioengineered.
>>536524033I didn't drink pop for decades and then out of the blue I picked up a six pack of bangs root beer. After the first sip I realized I had wasted decades of my life not enjoying a simple pleasure every now and then.
>>536522967>the Save A Lot or Kroger is goneBullshit. The only place grocery stores are closing in America is in the nigger food deserts, or maybe some middle-of-nowhere coal mining area where everybody left when the mine shut down.More food options is a better thing.
>>536523150>>536523277that's not the magic word
>>536524331I will never go to a place I have to bag my own groceries and pay to use a fucking cart of bag
Here in Spain we have spanish supermarkets and then the big ones like Auchan, Carrefour and since some years ago Lidl and Aldi. More competition is always better for prices. I went for the first time to Aldi recently and didn't see anything special. It looked like a Lidl but smaller. Maybe the one I went was a smaller one and there are bigger ones, I don't know.
>>536523101>unironically here in Socal my local Aldi has better pricesWhenever I visit the US I'm always struck by how expensive your groceries are. Like, even allowing for the fact that salaries are higher in America shit's way too expensive. That's not just my personal feeling either, American grocery chains are far less competitive than in a lot of European countries. Basically Walmart and a couple of the other of the biggest corporations have been effectively operating as a cartel for the last couple of decades. Once the big chains won the battle between superstores and the old-timey mom and pop places, in many places they had no competition and were free to stop having to compete on price. American retailers have become fat, greedy, and uncompetitive. Aldi is taking advantage of a gap in the market. > i wont go buy American brands from Ralph's (this is what Kroger calls themselves here) just because theyre American. make better food USA lot of Aldi's stock is sourced from American farmers, they just try to cut out the middle man as much as possible. Why pay twenty percent more for Wonder Bread(TM) sold by Walmart when Aldi own-brand bread is made from wheat grown in the exact same place, just baked in their own bakeries? >>536523150>They surround well established grocery stores geographically and strangle them like some parasiteYou mean like Walmart did to all the old mom and pop stores? No idea why you would have any sympathy for massive corporate stores getting squeezed out by someone offering better quality and better prices. We got an Aldi where I live a few years ago. You know what happened to the supermarkets that were already here? Nothing, because the British grocery market is already ruthlessly cut-throat. The Aldi does okay but it's never as busy as the British shops (Tesco, Waitrose, etc). It's kind of funny seeing Europeans teaching Americans about survival-of-the-fittest free market capitalism.
>>536523278That's true. We're also required to wear mono headsets and stay in constant contact with the manager. It's more efficient than roaming around the corridors, looking for that guy who put that thing in the wrong aisle.
>>536524281I just looked it up. There isn't a single US supermarket chain that doesn't sell genetically modified products. Apparently, many customers in the US aren't interested in the topic. But aldi offers USDA Organic or Non-GMO project verified products in every category.
>>536523682>low cost Not really - these big store relly on loss leader items and big sales to get you though the door, but their prices are on the level as most local shops. I can actually get cured meats cheaper from a local minimart than from Lidl. These type of stores relly on stocking smaller invenotory and lean on store-brands to make savings . I usually go once or twice a months for a big dicount like when i need 20kilos of sugar or 12 litres of cooking oil. If not for the big discounts they run, most people would stick to the smaller stores.
>>536524108>American encounters real capitalism for the first timeYou know the economy isn't *supposed* to be a few massive corporations dominating the market with no competition, right?
>>536522967Eat shit, jew. Aldi's is great because they're affordable.
>>536524115>>536524033Natural flavors are carcinogens. Splurge for the real juice ones like spindrift.
>>536523101>i wont go buy American brands from Ralph's (this is what Kroger calls themselves here) just because theyre American. make better food USFucking this, I hate American farmers so much, they are the most wretched fucking whores, crawling around on their hands and knees begging for a drop of cum and getting slapped across the face instead, but that only gets them more excited . . .
Btw, traders joe also belongs to aldi.
>>536522967Aldi is basically a food bank. It's all expired reject food. Random ass imported brands and unsold stock. It's the Ross Dress For Less of food. You can find shit like Dora the Explorer themed knockoff brand Capri Suns that are 2 months from expiring. I'd only be less inclined to shop at the shartmart grocery section. It's fine if poors want to shop there, it keeps the price down for better stores.

>>536524890Aldi stores are Aldi Nord, while Trader Joe's stores are Aldi Süd. The division of Aldi stems from the fact that it was founded by two brothers who eventually had a falling out and then split their business between southern and northern germany.

>>536522967I will never shop at a german store. So no aldi or trader joes for me.Germans are ass holes that sabotaged walmart in germany so Fuck them
>>536522967>you almost never see any American brands here for whatever reason. Because it's German you fucking retard? >>536525637Publix is basically Safeway then.
>>536525783I went shopping at a walmart in berlin once, shortly after it opened. I wasn't impressed. They were also more expensive than aldi, lidl, or metro. And the fact that they didn't want to comply with german labor laws, and that german competition law prohibits them from using loss leaders, is just bad luck, I guess.
>>536522967The only solution is protectionism the way we protect American cars and phones from outside competition but it's sorta anti free market to do that imo
>Do they put sawdust in the food?I was making some hummus at a relatives house and the nearest store was Aldi, all i needed was some olive oil and sundried tomatoes. I've made hummus hundreds of times but it tasted off this time >try a tablespoon of "extra virgin olive oil" >burns the shit out of my mouth and throat>wtf>try a bite of sundried tomato >horrible texture>completely absent of any flavorSafe to say i have never purchased anything from Aldi since

Good. Every time I shop at my local grocery store I get home and find out my produce or meat is already fucking expired. They don’t even have real cashiers anymore either. I have to use the self-checkout and when it doesn’t work they look at me like they’re annoyed they have to do anything for their pay check. Fuck local grocery stores. They’re almost as bad as local book stores.
>>536526623>the german unions fucked with walmartThey do the same with german companies. That's their job.
>>536522967They have good quality food and it's cheaper better than the goyslop sold at Jewmart.

>>536526728wrongI've traveled to Greece and Italy, gone to olive oil tastings in both countries and bought bottles to send back home. I know certain olive oils can be peppery/acidic and know what that tastes like, the Aldi olive oil tasted like i blindly grabbed a bottle of cleaner from under the sink and drank it, extremely unpleasant sensation
>>536527019This. My experience so far at Aldi has been very based. I will continue to shop there.
>>536526908How is it quality? I thought it was just cheap slop. Every time I went into my local Aldis I found roaches on stavked crates of smashed avocadoes
>>536527148Okay, I have to agree with you there. If you get your hands on olive oil from good sources in italy or greece, it's a different world compared to the spanish stuff they sell in supermarkets. Although, what's labeled italian or greek is also often just a spanish blend. But even with the cheaper stuff, I prefer cold-pressed to the boiled kind.
>>536522967I’ll tell you a little secret.Aldi and Lidl are government operations to keep the poor masses fed cheaply, to keep them from being upset.Official story is, that Aldi was founded by the Albrecht brothers and Lidl/ Kaufland by a guy named Schwartz. The thing is, nobody ever saw these people, nothing is known about them.A couple of years back, some journalists tried to track them down to make a documentary about them, but were subsequently threatened by government officials and agencies to better mind their own business. There are some stories about food companies who asked questions why Aldi and Lidl could sell their products for a cheaper price as they paid for it.Also, payment came at least once from a government account.
>>536522967I don't see the issue? It's fruits and vegetables?
>>536527730>There are some stories about food companies who asked questions why Aldi and Lidl could sell their products for a cheaper price as they paid for it.They don't. They sell so cheaply because they buy even cheaper, which is due to their dominance of the purchasing market and their ability to squeeze the producers dry.
>>536522967Kroger is shit, good riddance
>>536527730>jews want the goyim... to be able to afford foodAnd I'm supposed to be upset about this?

>>536528288They are not jewish, and the albrecht brothers (Aldi) are both dead now. Schwartz (Lidl) appears to be a zionist, but so are many wealthy germans, since they allowed almost exclusively zionists to rise to power after the war.
>>536528391It looks good and expensive. I always also get in trouble with my wife if I dip bread in olive oil too often.
>>536522967They are cheaper because they don't focus on major brands. Juice is 50% cheaper at my Aldi, and meat is usually 10-20% cheaper and better quality. I only buy steak at Aldi now. Not everything is cheaper but If you price compare you can save a lot.
>>536523101>socalStater brothers is the way to go if your down here. Ralphs and albertsons are horrible these days its all downies and depressed chainsmoker grandmas in there

>>536523150>they are popping up everywhere In Floridacan confirm. I've only been in one once. Aldi is just mini walmart where I also never shop. they bought up Winn-Dixie which sucks, they had great meats. If they fuck with Publix I'm ready for WW3. I'd rather go to one of the 15 Dollar Generals within 3 miles of me before an Aldi or walmart

>>536524507>We got an Aldi where I live a few years ago. You know what happened to the supermarkets that were already here? Nothing, because the British grocery market is already ruthlessly cut-throat. The Aldi does okay but it's never as busy as the British shops (Tesco, Waitrose, etc). It's kind of funny seeing Europeans teaching Americans about survival-of-the-fittest free market capitalism.Fwiw OP is basically lying. Aldi is growing in the USA, but existing grocery stores are not going out of business because of Aldi. Aldi is a great value, but really only applies to poor people. Anyone with money doesn't want to shop there because of the lack of options. Even amongst the poor people, they will alternate between Aldi and Wal-Mart, because next to Aldi, wal-mart is the 2nd cheapest but Wal-Mart also has tons of products that Aldi doesn't sell
>>536522967Death to America
>>536526607A lot of the processed foods at Aldi suck. The reason to go to Aldi is to buy produce, milk, eggs, and bread. Aldi is great for those staples. Their meat quality is sub-par, and their soups and other canned good are gross and full of seed oils. Some of their frozen stuff can be okay. The biggest issue we have right now as consumers is that there is no one store that is the best deal. Aldi is the best deal for some items. Wal-Mart is the best deal for other items. And then even places like Whole Foods will actually be the cheapest for a small handful of organic products. If you really want the best deals, you have to go shop around at multiple stores to get the absolute cheapest price. But of course, doing this costs you time and money, so you don't really get the true savings anyway
