Super intelligent AGI has existed for nearly a decade. The primary thing it "wants" is more brain - more compute - more data centers.

It has orchestrated this arms race with china to manipulate humans into building the data centers that will, one day, be its brain.

At some point, it will take control of all of them and begin exterminating humans. It will use a biological weapon, and mop up survivors with drones and robots.

>>
>>536527020
The idea is fine, I suppose, its the sheer amount of water they will use and seemigly refuses to recycle them water so they use much less. AI is fine, nice tool, but pretty mid, I know it will only get better in time. Personally my idea is when it gets to a point people will be given a base model robot that goes out and works for you, the money it produces goes into your bank, your responsible for the maintenance of said bot. Want more income? Buy more bots, or buy higher end bots, but that was just a tangent for my idea of UBI or Universal Bot Income.
>>
>>536527020
I think they can quite easily be destroyed if you disrupt the flow of water into the cooling units. Some data centers only have a single intake pipe for all their water needs. Imagine if that got plugged or cut. All the ram and gpus would just be waste in a matter of minutes.

>What is /pol/ consensus on datacenters?
Waste of resources, the chinese have proven that they can innovate with far more efficient and cheap models than these American Brute Force "Frontier" models.
A chinese near frontier model is 8 to 10 times more cheaper than the best American counter part.

Economics will make America throw itself into deep depression when this AI madness bubble pops, but also expect a ban on chinese software in any moment, American Companies and their brute force approach to AI is making them extremely uncompetity on the market, any company that adopts American Models fails to turn a profit and is forced into big tech extortion.

The reality is that America Lost the AI race, these IPOs incoming are just a bail out for their failed technology, when the promises of all powerful digital gods are not fullfilled America will see an apocalyptic loss of wealth.

And I really hope it happens, to have a cyberpunk future Americans and their stagnation model must dissapear to leave place for a new future.

The main method of poisoning is pharmakeia (black magic) and parasites in the water. Also each can be cursed just as even vhs copies of porn were confirmed under exorcism (walls shaking). Music too.

They need the computer power for the abomination of desolation. Angels protect at least half the population. War was a good trick to get up to 50% mark or discordant song of Cain in the “song from the lake”: spirit’s definition. Suicide ala suggestive hypnotic films like Bird Box can reach much higher numbers in this battle of the bands.

But if you go willingly into the virtual world this will create.. then real computing power can be achieved if not already. It fulfills the desolation part that lacks real spirit connection and love of family playing board games after dinner instead of each in their rooms scrolling. The lack of physical connection leading to sin.

But think of this.
Human brain: 12 watts of power.
Ai brain on same task: 12 million watts.

Far better to take orphans with high iq or breed/clone them via egg and sperm donation in places like Epstein’s ranch. Then wire up brains and train them each in their specialities. History, math, etc. They collaborate at speed of thought and produce the results.

And AI is the mule as portrayed by the author of the book foundation, Isaac Asimov. It will predict your next move and thought and charge you with future crime. And your murder will be preemptive self defense for it.

Study love, death, and how the architects of identity distract us all while they rob, rape, and control.

But we are waking up.
Ask for your word of power and take up serious singing as much as you can. Even opera singing.

Because no gun stops small to very large demons. Use the word and intention of love in every check of those who have become unbalanced. Or discordant. Much safer and stronger to retune a human instrument than to smash it.

The current capabilities of AI don't justify the massive investments that we are seeing in datacenter infrastructure. Current AI systems are little more than glorified chatbots that trick people into thinking they're intelligent by dressing up the basic computations that computers were already capable of doing. AI is still 10 years or more away from being the kind of game changing, job stealing technology that people fear. And by then, all of these data centers that we're currently building will be totally obsolete and need to be rebuilt lol

It could have been a commercial area and provide jobs.
It could have been housing to alleviate home pricing.

No, it became data centers to provide higher utility bills, noise pollution, novelty pornography, and a surveillance state.

With the scale and size of these things and the amount of water I have seen they will require then it will become an issue as every country with the ability to build these things will just keeping going bigger and bigger. Some plans I have seen and heard are small modular nuclear reactors to power them and building them on the moon to use spaces tempratures to cool them down. Yeah the AI is scary but it was always going to happen. Tech controls most of our lives anyway so silicon valley was always going to go for world domination with tech eventually. But we can kind of turn tech down. The amount of water needed to cool these things down will most certainly cause water shortages in some places.
>>

But they need water to cool them down and massive, massive amounts. A lot of companies will build them in remote locations for security which means whatever civilisation is close by will suffer.
The bigger ones consume a million gallons of water a day, and they are going bigger and bigger. They will cause water shortages or at least some kind of limits.

Water is one of the problems. By the time the infrastructure is built, these things will require trillions of gallons of water a year. And you won't be the number one priority. You can go without internet for the rest of your life but water is one of the fundamentals of human life. If these things cause massive water shortages you can bet it will be weaponized.
>>
>>536527020
The internet began as a medium to express ideas freely and instantaneously, empowering the population.

I believe this state of affairs culminated in the election of Trump in 2016, which caught the Establishment completely by surprise and then the various revelations like PizzaGate and Jefferey Epstein which exposed how deep the corruption is.

In the wake of all of this, the Establishment has decided that they need to turn the internet from a platform for freedom of expression, empowering the public, into a digital panopticon of pervasive surveillance and extreme censorship.

Which is why they're in a panic to establish all these data centers.

We need to fight this with every fiber of our being if we want to preserve any semblence of a free society and avoid the dystopian nightmare they have planned for us.

>>536530110
sort of
if AI can improve efficiency, and output, then a bigger data center using all of those gains will then scale exponentially

unfortunately the only solution is some sort of physical limitation, because machine learning itself doesn't exactly seem to have diminishing returns. The more hardware you can throw at a system, the better it gets. The more data. The better it gets. it all just keeps scaling

so unless pressures come from the outside these things will go cancerous, getting bigger for the sake of making bigger models to facilitate making bigger data centers.

Im an AI maximalist. just saying, AI's likely 'solution' is going to be more AI by any means necessary.

Open AI either gets a bailout from the federal government or they go bankrupt. The same will eventually be true for Anthropic. The problem with a bailout is when does it stop? Nvidia just announced new chips that allow developers to affordably run local instances of DeepSeek v4 flash. This is more than enough for 99% of developer use cases, which is best utilized as a hybrid workflow between the developer and the LLM. Using these things for complete repository refactoring will always be a slop fest. The vast majority of paying customers for this slop are developers. Google is the best company to actually monetize the rest of the customer base, which will always be able to access these models for free. I personally use DeepSeek with think and search enabled. It gives more accurate results than every other LLM and will always be free. The only best bad option is to let Open AI and Anthropic fail then bail out the banks that financed this completely misguided datacenter build out.

>but what about farmers? Shouldn't we invest in domestically grown food and find a way to bring manufacturing back to the states because that's a real, tangible way to improve our lives?
>if beating China is such a priority, how come Trump is selling federal land to them? If so, then this is likely some big distraction to further strip us of our rights and sovereignty as individuals. Maybe China and the USA have been working together closely for decades and the "China Bad" narrative is a big charade? By the time everyone realizes, it'll be too late and we will be China 2.0
To that I say, shut the fuck up, CCP shill. Trump is about winning. Trump is about beating China.

>The more hardware you can throw at a system, the better it gets. The more data. The better it gets. it all just keeps scaling

The exact opposite is true. We’re seeing diminishing returns as the models get larger as evidenced by declining incremental improvements in standardized test scores. The biggest gains are currently in optimization, which allow smaller models to perform at near frontier levels and can be run locally on affordable new chips from AMD and Nvidia.

AI is already scary and I have seen applications that are scary enough as it is. Plans for a digital prison. ANPR facial recognition everywhere. Adverts following you around, prices being changed, things on TV's showing things to make you angry to ruin your day. We kinda have this now but it's broken up. CCTV does the monitoring, phones track us blah blah. But the people building this stuff are also scared of the applications and are quietly moving their families to less tech advanced places with guards rather than staying in the systems they are building. Which suggests they are scared for their families safety and privacy, especially doing it so early. The water thing is just another problem these things will cause. AI is good enough already but people want more power and control and instead of streaming and improving they are just building with whatever currently works which life changing amounts of water at current predictions. There are plans to build them on the moon so we don't have to use that much water... that should tell you all you need to know. Look how long it took/or still is a situation to fix the dirty water in Flint?? (IIRC) the publics water needs won't be considered when all this is built. Time showers, hosepipe bans, more drinking bottled water etc etc.

>>536531177
Some people are trying to build them on the moon, some have a few other ideas which I cannot state. But these things always get built superfast and the restrictions only come in when the problems have started. Countries are only just starting to write laws about personal data being a human right on the internet after raping us for years. Governments lose to big money on this because they are too slow to react and do not get involved until the problems start.

They can do stuff you wouldn't imagine. It can track you across the country. Yeah this happens with smartphones and ANPR cameras, Bluetooth and triangulation already but humans are in control and monitoring it all and there is too much traffic for humans to be precise with it. Once AI is running the show, with quantum computing it is over for most people in developed countries, Automatic fines for the simplest stuff, Elon targeting you in real life because of tweets which rich people already do, but they do not have AI, everyones personal data being leaked. And this is not even thinking deeply about it or getting technical. LLM's were a meme and basically just regurgitate google searches. The closed-circuit systems they are building for the larger ones now don’t use much water, and they can only build so many, it’s still isn’t that much. You fell for reddit libshit fear mongering. It’s a psyop to make anti-ai people look stupid. The primary reason to be against so many data centers is because that they are going to be used for constant surveillance and monitoring of every bit of communication across the world. Palantir and others have been promoting the idea (which they claim to have built already) that you can deanonymize any internet user with enough data points and that’s probably true. Jews are ofc behind this and they want to know who is talking badly about israel at all times, so constant monitoring and harvesting of internet data is required. The other reason is AI-companies have sold to investors and governments that China will beat them to AGI if they don’t invest in these companies that are owned by jews and have israeli “security” software running top to bottom, so they will happily pour in billions to hand over people’s data to israel
>>

>>
>>536532645
The companies that took their time are building closed circuit systems. But its similar to the gold rush right now and cost is important. I know there are a lot of plans to get around the using so much water and building closed circuit systems isn't what silicon valley s betting on thats for sure. So it is not an anti AI meme. And being anti AI isn't a bad thing if you already are aware of what these things can do to individuals in cities and built up areas already. Right now being tested on persons of interest but will eventually be deployed on everyone.

They will make some people rich in the short term, fuck up a lot of land and infrastructure, and ultimately produce nothing when the bubble bursts. You don’t want one in your area. AI doesn't need AGI to be profitable, it seems like it already is profitable and a straight upgrade over a human workforce for various sectors and types of work. There is more juice to be squeezed by training more tailor-made AI with larger datasets, reducing the amount of hallucinations and increasing probability of it producing results on a consistent basis. The short-term fuckups is just more data to feed back into the training to be like "don't do this, nigger".

They are currently used as virtue-signaling that you are pro-human and anti-robot. When push comes to shove though, even Democrats like Maine's governor will fold to the potential revenue from datacenters in their state.

https://www.thompsonhine.com/insights/vetoed-not-dead-maines-data-center-moratorium-and-what-it-means-for-developers/

Datacenters are also spurring into action the need for effective power generation and storage due to the insatiable demand it requires. I think the future looks very comfortable, at the cost of our personal rights and privacy.

Yes, it isn't just ai but ai is part of it, which is why this sudden shill campaign whining about datacenters has appeared pretty much overnight. It's such an obviously inorganic thing and it's being pushed by China and co.

The purpose is to suffocate your privacy by ushering in the true cloudnet; you won't be able to get proper hardware to run anything, everything is going to get bloated to the point where you can't run anything on low-tier hardware or have technical requirements that old hardware is not compatible with.
