There is no such thing as 'suicide by cop'. If police kills someone no matter the circumstances it's murder. Same with lethal self-defense.Under christian system of morals we're required to honor 'do not kill' commandment. It is said that you're allowed to kill in self-defense if someone tries to kill you because this way you're saving a life (your own) so in summary no one gets killed. This reasoning is deeply flawed because If someone points a gun at you they can still change their mind even if a chance for that is 0,00001% but if you kill them it exchanges a possibility of death to a certain death. That's why Jesus Christ ordered his disciplies to not kill his capturers and to not use a sword and allow themselves to be martyred in his example.Under secular system of morals there is no good or evil so murder doesn't exist killing can't be rationally determined to be justified or not.

Like for example in the case of divorce letters and polygamy. It was an imperfect law tailored to very flawed people. Jesus expanded on that law by pointing out how to behave to be perfect.
