When older Americans say freedom what they really mean is convenience and shortsighted self centeredness. To them freedom is being as petty and obnoxious as you want and when people tell you to knock it off that's Satanic, godless communism. Day of the pillow is a meme, but it's also very real. The contempt for boomers is as real and legitimate as the contempt for Indians.
