That means initially paying well over $100 for an 8 hour course, and qualifying via written test and a live fire qualification. Then paying over $100 to apply for a license that the state has up to 120 days to approve. After approval the license has to be renewed every 5 years, with a shorter 4 hour course but applicable fees the course isn't free neither is the application Never have I felt more humiliated as a gun owner than taking a renewal course in Nevada. Last renewal the instructor wasn't even from our state and I corrected him on state law. Why should I bother? I felt humiliated just by my compliance, paying someone who knows less than me to sign a form I have to pay again to submit
