Even what would still cost a dollar is now $1.25 or $1.50https://www.thestreet.com/retail/dollar-tree-expands-service-many-customers-cant-afford
I don't mind paying more for stuff if it means is Isreal is safe.
>>536557733I’m gay and fat
>>536557733It's now cheaper to buy a lot of this crap at my local grocery store. So I don't shop at Dollar Tree and don't miss the ghetto shoppers or the tranny cashiers.
>>536557733We had a similar store in denmark, it went really down hill after aliexpress and their expanding into more expensive products.
>>536557925I want to say they realized they're serving poor folks without cars but that's not even the case, the customers aren't a captive market. They all have cars and could drive a few miles to save money at a grocery store or Walmart
>>536557733Dollar stores should have stayed a dollar. If they were able to get their hands on bulk desirable stock, they could do limited time deals, shift it quickly. But becoming a cheap tatt store, whether its a dollar or 20, changes it. Most of their shit will sit collecting dust. Their profit or lack of it will tell though. How does it compare to when they go hard on dollar stock compared to a mix.
>>536558037I don't think that business model would work. You get used to buying certain things in a dollar store. With all the inflation they either raise prices or discontinue half of their products. The stuff you used to buy is no longer for sale there, you stop going to the shop.
>>536557733>Have dollar stores missed the mark by expanding into $5 $10 and $20 product lines?Yes I hate that>Even what would still cost a dollar is now $1.25 or $1.50Yes but that's the good part of the store still
>>536557733Yes. It is mission creep. Somehow this has resulted in a couple of MBAs making a fuckton of money.
