did our space tech just stop or something? nasa is fucking shit
>WE'RE GOING TO THE MOON!!!!!!!!!
>BY GOING TO THE MOON WE MEAN WE'RE JUST FLYING AROUND IT
>COOL RIGHT???
i hope these losers get defunded

Because after the USA developed enough missle tech to nuke the USSR ten times over, there wasn't a reason to continue doing Apollo launches.
>did our tech stop
You have to realise that the people who built the Saturn rockets didn't write down everything you needed to know on how to get to the Moon w/o dying. Right now the engineers behind them are already either dead or half dead with dementia, so their knowledge IS lost. That's why the new rockets they're building for Artemis are being done from scratch.

Money was no object then. When money did become the largest factor they stopped going to the moon.
It needs to be done in a way that at least convinces people it is worth it whether it is or not.

we need a billion jeets to land on the moon
>>
The whole idea we cannot go back to the moon is complete bullshit. What they mean is it's not profitable to go back to a fucking useless rock in space.

You just don’t have enough talented Indian engineers. Your moon mission success is directly correlated with the number of Indian engineers working on the project.

very good questions
I'm starting to doubt the moon landing, too
the hype around the fly by was weird
>>
the only reason the first lunar lander worked is because it was being controlled by the most skilled test pilot on the planet (well, away from the planet at the time)

wouldn't setting up a fueling station on the moon make it easier to push further?
most of the fuel expenditure is in the blast off. If they started from the moon, they could have fuel for longer trips
>>
We ran out of nazi scientists

It's called a decline, anon

No they need a place which has natural reserves which can be converted into fuel on planet/moon. It costs too much to send fuel in bulk. Like Saturn's largest moon, Titan. Problem is Titan is so fucking far away.
>>
Like the shitty cars America builds today, full of computers, unnecessarily overcomplicated systems, and nothing but problems.
