Tourism is a poison chalice that we had been drinking from for over 25 years now. Every year 8-10 billion euros flow into our state budget due to tourism. And every year the worst part of croatian society gets a little richer due to it.Dalmatians.Almost 30% of nation, from Zadar to Dubrovnik, are heroin drug addicts, inbreds, and in general jobless neets that live off renting their houses they had inherited to naive tourists x3 more than what the market price it actually is.The moment the season ends they spend all of the money on alcohol, hard drugs and new car. And then they do not work for 9 months in a year, in september they all come to the capitol and partake in every singing, dance and reality tv show because they have nothing to do.Please. Go somewhere else this year. And every year after that. Stop enabling drug addicts.

Environmentally it's horrible - transportation fuel, production of cheap trinkets, accommodation waste, more storage needed for billions of photos of things that have been photographed billions of times before. It steals the city from the inhabitants. The start of covid was heavenly, the city cleaned up from endless swarms of foreigners, restaurants in the city centre lowered prices (they were begging on the news for people to come, and all people saw they could function with low prices just fine, but those greedy fucks increased it even more after tourists returned - never ever trust touristy places to be grateful, may they owners get hit by cars), some animals returned too.
