It's not actually all that difficult to get a gun license here. You could get one in two or three weeks. Most farmers and many country people have guns. They just don't carry them around everywhere frightening people for no reason. There's less of a need to than in the USA, because it's not as incredibly unsafe as the US.

I actually dont think it would change much here if firearms became as loose as they are in Texas or AZ. Something else that is attached to 2A which would alter things would be concealed carry and self defense laws. In the states there are a bunch of really cheap, junkie, etc... handguns. When gang members or w/e are planning on killing someone in a hit that's what they use. They wouldnt have Saturday night specials for a decade+ I guess.
