VR is almost like the memory implants in Total Recall. My memories of museums I've visited using an Oculus are basically identical to the ones where I've actually gone. I've walked around every major city in the world using the shitty Wander app which is basically first person street view and it's the same as anywhere I've been. That's with static images and people having blurred faces. Once you can do video and move around in live motion it will be exactly the same minus the farts
I traveled a lot when the world opened back up after COVID. It’s the dumbest lamest shit. Everywhere is more or less the same, everyone is more or less the same. You do the same things everywhere you go. I realized when women say they “love travel” what they really love is having content for social media. It’s an excuse for a good new background on their Instagram.
