The act of immigration itself overpopulates an area, which then has to adjust to accommodate those people. They need houses and apartments, so mortgage and rent goes up. They have no credit for those things so interest rates go up to absorb the risk. They need food, gas, and other consumables, so the prices of those things increase. They need jobs, which takes away available jobs and lowers salaries for other people because desperate people will work for less. There kids need education and food stamps and healthcare, so taxes have to go up or benefits have to be cut. I could go on and on. It doesn't take much effort to realize immigration is bad, but people seem to view it the same way they view vacation. People coming to visit and then leaving aren't much of a problem. Immigrants are not planning to leave
