You need about 3+ hours of daily exposure to a language for 3+ years to get anywhere near fluent. Burger fats need to understand that before going in, that 5 minutes a day with some "app" will only get you 1% of the way there.

FYI if you’re an American with a library card the language app Mango is usually free and it isn’t as gamified as DuoLingo. It was good enough to learn basic Serbian so I didn’t seem retarded/could actually communicate well enough when I met my GF’s family in Serbia. Tried with DuoLingo first and it was pretty ass.
