i grew up in Slovakia and did a lot of mushroom foraging when i was young.remember always coming home from the forest covered in ticks, but if you took a shower ASAP, most of them would wash off and not have enough time to bury themselves in your skinif they did, we used to cover them in soap and they would climb out usually. if not, tweezers did the job. got bitten a lot but never got lyme disease luckily.
