Okay.
So you're saying that no fishermen ever use boats? No tour guides who are co-owners of a tourism company ever use boats? No wildlife workers ever use boats? Come on! It's not only super rich people who use boats. You are overlooking a whole range of businesses out there who employ working class people that use boats on a regular basis.

Fishermen? The ones that have multi million dollar licenses to operate a vessel? Fuck yourself?
>>
>>536598185
>>536598250
The work itself is still fairly working class. You're basically demonizing them for no reason other than they have high overhead costs. A lot of people who work in construction who then go on to start their own construction company face the same high overhead costs and high barriers to entry because they have to buy their own trucks and tools on top of getting their licensing and insurance. The same thing goes for independent truck drivers because buying your own truck is can be as much as $200,000 if you buy new or $90,000 if you buy used. Again, you're just being out-of-touch. This could actually help revive small businesses and local economies throughout coastal communities.
>>
>>536596069
its for american cars too, thats a good thing
>>
>>536598888
Only the hired workers can possibly be working class. The owners of the boats who actually benefit from this are above what the destroyed middle class was at.

You don't seem to understand the basic concept that you don't stop being working class just because you saved up some money and managed to buy your own equipment. I have noticed that this elitist thinking among liberals really prevents them from considering the practical implications of demonizing small business owners simply for investing in their own productive capacity after having worked a working class job. These people were working in these middle class jobs as hired workers before they managed cobble together a little money to invest in themselves. They're not filthy rich. They're still working paycheck to paycheck, despite their investment in a boat or a truck for their small business.
>>
>>536599686
If you're working paycheck to paycheck then by the very words of the phrase you aren't saving up, at least not at any rate to get hundreds of thousands of fucking dollars lined up within any kind of reasonable timeframe.

Boats, just like motorcycles, are a luxury only people 50 and above can afford to experience
>>
>>536599885
You saved up enough money for a down-payment and some basic overhead like license, insurance, etc. However, the business itself can only survive if the economy can sustain enough productivity over time so that the business owner can continue to pay down the loan(s) for their equipment. Do you not understand how this works?
>>
>>536600241
You're making assumptions that skip several steps. How is someone making like 30k going to save anything?
>>
>>536600014
Motorcycles are literally used by working class and working poor people all the time to save on gas costs. Delivery people use them all of the time. Motorcycles are not just for rich old people who need a meme hobby. Yikes! You folks are really terrible at economic populism. You really need to consider the broader implications
>>
>>536600491
They likely worked a side-gig and invested some money. Also, $30,000 is working poor in most large metropolitan areas -- not really working class. You seem to have brought up an arbitrary outdated criterion
>>
>>536596069
350k boats for 5.5 million people isn't "for the rich". That's one boat in like every 3rd family.
>>
>>536596069
Also US is rescuing failed businesses.

>>
>>536600641
Bold of you to assume wages have risen in 20 years just because you climbed the ladder before it was flooded with jeets.
>>
>>536600989
I didn't assume anything. I actually pointed out where your assumption is wrong. Working class blue collar jobs often pay in the low six figures in large metropolitan areas, depending on local economic dynamics. A $30,000 a year salary would usually get supplemented with government assistance rather easily, hence the reason why I pointed out that it was a working poor salary

Yes, they are. They literally make it easier to afford something.
>They are just making everyone else pay for it.
No, they don't. That money didn't belong to anyone else to begin with. That money belonged to the individual(s) who has being subjected to taxation.
>it's everyone else chipping in for your boat
No, it's not. No one is being taxed to pay for someone else's boat. Quite the opposite.

So the biggest problem you have in your life today is that the federal government steals slightly less money from someone who finances a boat?
Try to explain the impact this is going to have on your lifestyle and tell us how you feel your life would be improved by the federal government stealing more money from other people.
>>
>>536596069
A recreational boat is per definition a luxury.

Are you slow? Instead of the government giving money to people who hate young white males such as myself, I want them to give money to young white males such as myself.
>>
>>536596069
Meanwhile the same state taxes boats at like 6% of their assessed value for property taxes. I owned a not-fancy boat, a car and a new car in SC and the boat property taxes were more than the house and the car combined. In fact our property tax is so crazy that no one that owns a plane will hangar them in-state. They all keep their home hangar in Georgia or Florida. This dumb cunt needs to STFU about taxes in her state until she knows what she is talking about.

It's still entirely over-represented by boomers. Either way you're missing the point. Most young people can't even get their feet off the ground because they're being squeezed from every direction, and instead of giving some kind of tax break to them, instead the tax break goes toward something that's entirely superfluous.
>>
>>536604506

You don't stop being working class just because you saved up some money and managed to buy your own equipment. You still worked years, if not decades, as a blue collar worker before you ever managed to save up enough money for the licensing, the insurance, and, yes, equipment like boats and trucks. You still will never have the social status as a doctor, a lawyer, or an MBA. I do expect liberals to have some capacity to understand the social status aspect of this. Social status is a form of currency within the liberal-lefty sociopolitical subculture. You guys are just as elitist and pretentious as Jordan Peterson, and you don't have the self-awareness to understand that
>>
>>536600702
Most of the boats are pontoon and bass-fishing and ski boats. Average MSRP for new boats in this class is maybe $60,000. Also a lot of shitbox old sailboats that have essentially no resale value.
>>
>>536596069
if boomers pay less taxes on their boats they wont need to charge you so much rent
>>
>boomer trump gives tax cuts to the hardcore boomer base that helped put him in power
wow im shocked who could have seen this one coming?
>>
>>536604608
>squeezed from every direction
>entirely superfluous
So you're saying that no young person could ever be interested in starting their own boat tour business in the Florida everglades? It seems like a great opportunity, considering how many people are moving to Florida these days
>>
>>536596069
This isn't even really a tax break for boomers. It is really a tax break for the slimy kikes that do predatory boat financing. Now they will be able to jack the price up even more and get Billy Bob to sign up for a 24% APR boat loan because "it's deductible!"

That's the most obscene part about boomers. Their supernatural ability to be as two faced as the slimiest of jews. Same bullshit played out during the scamdemic.
>Oy vey, student loan relief? After we crashed the economy because we were afraid of a fucking flu virus? Fuck you, no student loan relief!
>Oh, those million dollar PPP loans we took out? Those should be forgiven, just zero dollars paid back, big old million dollar payday.

You'll never get a boomer to recognize how fucking stupid it was that student loan relief was painted as some mega hitler proposal, but just handing them 1 million dollars was somehow a just use of public tax dollars.
Same fucking assholes that lost their minds about remote work, same ones that shut it down, when it started negatively impacting their scammy commercial real estate "investments"

The world will never heal until every boomer has passed on, they're a cancer on this world.
>>
>>536605151
No, you don't understand. You seem to overlook that small business owners employ working class people. If they are concerned with trying to pay down their debts for their equipment, then they might not have enough money leftover to pay their workers. Also, zoomers can save up money to start their own business, if they apply themselves.
>day of the pillow
this kind of intergenerational warfare cosplay is a juvenile distraction. We live in a post industrial service-based economy. It is time to adapt to tje globalized economy
