You don't want a house. You want a 4 seasons yurt with a wood stove on your own bit of soil. I'm very bullish yurts.
>>
>>536597306
You can put that $100k into a high yield checking account and make $3500/year (minus taxes) completely passively, allowing you to temporarily offset grocery inflation for a bit
>>
>>536597306
In what world does a $100k downpayment not get you a decent mortgage? How shit is your salary?

This is extremely normal, a normal wage in America is actually around $35-45k if you remove the 10,000 richest out of our 350million population.

I make 50k a year. If I were to put this down as a down payment I'd be house broke and possibly be foreclosed within a few years
>>
>>536597306
I'm sure you could get something for $100K. I don't know how things are over in your country. But over here a disused public toilet in our village sold for about that much. You could live in that. Quite luxurious in size really, two rooms!
>>
>>536597306
Anon, go buy ccj and oil drilling stocks. You might not be able to buy a house with the proceeds but you'll be able to buy a nice van and some whores.
>>
>>536597306

Sounds tough. Meanwhile if you were in Canada 1/3 that 100K would probably be lost to taxes. And we pay taxes on taxes here.
>>
>>536597306
If a 100K downpayment doesn't let you afford a house you are living next to a big gay city.
>>
>>536597576

Unless you are living on Van Island, there is no way you are living in a yurt through a Canadian winter.
>>
>>536597670
I frugal maxxed and paid off my house and have very little real expenses. Like maybe 11k a year. I normie maxxed for one month. Went out to eat every day, bought muh starbucks, drove around everywhere, went to the movies, bought the goyslop, bought the weed, bought the booze. I spent over 4k in 25 days. Normies are just retarded. Straight up. It's so piss easy to burn through cash on retarded shit. Jews have the goy slaves cornered in consumer cattle maxxing. Is what it is.

It's so easy too my god, I could walk into a store and blow through 200 bucks on absolute pointless trash I never needed in 5 minutes lol.
>>
>>536598791
The problem is monthly cost. If you can't afford to pay $3k/month for the mortgage then it doesn't matter if someone hands you the down payment.

100k downpayment on a 300k home at 6% 30-year fixed mortgage is over $1400 per month. and home prices are so fucked since covid that 300k gets you a fixer upper or a new build in niggerville. and that's somewhere that has lower property taxes around 1500 anually.
>>
>>536599643
thats a $500,000 house you're talking about, buy one for $250,000 and your monthly is only $1,000
there abouts

or just whine and cry and continue to rent for the rest of your life
>>
>>536597306
you can still afford land

buy land and a trailer or rv
work and pay to have a slab of concrete built on that land, then build a house to your liking, hell, use concrete to build the house too.
>>
>>536599016
not with that attitude.
>>
>>536600027
have you home shopped recently? 250k gets you shitters in 90% of the us currently. it's a bunch of 40-80 year old houses that some richfag millennial "renovated" aka just did cosmetic shit to hide the more important stuff. only places you can get a decent house for that are places that have no job market within 100 miles.
>>
>>536600034
Actually trailers and RVs are surprisingly expensive now. You could probably build a cabin for less money. There are cabins and shit in america and canada cheaper than a mid ranged RV land included. Problem is normies don't wanna live there, too quiet and peaceful, not enough niggers and 7/11s. No clubs. Trees and grass 'smell gross and are boring' women absolutely hate it so if you want your 3/10 roastie whore to stick around and fuck you, cabin is just not gonna cut it for that queen.

City is where its at. 3.5k a month for a bachelor basement apt please and thank you.

my dad bought an RV from the 80s, still in good condition for 2.5k back in 2021.

it has a nice king sized bed in the back, plus a bed up top, and a table that converts into a bed.
a working gas stove
all the electric wiring works
the minifridge works
ac/heater works

the only thing that needed work was the door, and if my dad hand't turned it into his study and filled it with stuff it'd still be a great rv.

Main issue I have read from them, at least in canada, is the frames rusting and rotting out. Old RVs are great if it'sin good condition, but really high chance the floor and frame is rotting out all to shit which makes it not road worthy and a pain in the ass. I guess if you know what you're doing you could repair it well enough to just set it on some land somewhere though. I know a lot of people doing that around me, I'd say about 75% are building houses themselves too. Few people are cut out to do it though but imo every man should do something like this and just hack it out for a couple years just for the experience. You learn a lo and become a lot better for it

I live in the middle of nowhere. newsflash, it's 2026. most people have moved further and further out from city centers and commute long distances to work because home prices are cheaper. this in return drives up rural home prices. this gets worse every year. most people are commuting at minimum 40 miles to work, in rush hour traffic.

> $500,000 house
€500k is a rather modest house here.
For €250k you only get a modest 60 sqm apartment far outside of big cities.
And this is €uro not Dollar and we even earn considerably less in sheer numbers than you.
It should be so much easier for Americans to get a house than for us.

The house my grandfather built with his 2 brothers using his bare hands by saving up money from the 1950's to the 2000's on land inherited from his grandma from the Tsarist period is somehow now valued at $2.1 million dollars. We are otherwise falling out of the middle class since 2008 and live solely off pension-tier expenses.
