I had a dream once that Rome never fell as hard as it did, rebounding and taking more territory, but leaving most of Scandinavian and Russia but pushing all the way to the Caspian and held it through all the centuries in spite of its multiple near collapses. There were public forums where you could live as a homeless aesthetic and you were often considered a stoic in practice. You would see a nude painting of some local famous slut and no one cared and we had already made it out to Saturn and we were colonizing its moons and rings.
