I notice that men's rights/MGTOW guys complain about things like divorce, domestic violence, and child custody laws, which are supposedly biased against men. But many of those laws were passed in the 1960's and 1970's by male-dominated legislatures, and signed into law by male governors and presidents in the US. Other countries have a similar trajectory. Why did men choose to legally cripple themselves in this fashion? Women literally did not have the power to pass these laws by themselves.

the 1960s you had to have reasons to divorce, e.g. Adultery, physical abuse, abandonment (my mom's husband was big on abandonment) ect.
