They offer that you have your personality erased to make way for orders, and serve as a thrall weapon of heaven to bestow glorious purpose on the unsuspecting SAVAGES of the cosmos who are pitifully devoid of purpose.The demon says they believe you should be free to chase your ambitions. They believe reincarnation is pointless cruelty, and that all goals are ultimately pointless long-term. I'm immediately suspicious. How is it that the desire for peace is disgusting?It is indeed an attachment, I'll give you that, but is not like the other attachments of desiring immortality and lustfulness. The second part of the angles proposal, to be used as a weapon for whatever purpose, carries at minimum pride, which is also an attachment. I suppose it depends on what "purpose" you would be bestowing. I feel like this needs to be expanded upon. Without clarification, it just doesn't sound goodOn the other hand, the "demon" character has clearly proposed a trap. This form of existence is bound to end eventually and perhaps even if it doesn't then, it would lead to what you described as "stagnation." Eventually your ego would just become some abstract concept, only as real as the simulation and might as well not exist at all. Is there a 3rd option of just declining both and continuing to live as you were? I would probably do this as I am too suspicious of the "angles" proposal. Definitely tempted by the demon, but the answer would definitely be no. 6/10 thread imo.
