>slow clap
wow guys, great science. hard to imagine how many andeans died because they couldn't digest a potato. give those scientists another 3M in funding.

Is their average life span longer because of this
>>
>>536692814
did any whites die at first when they brought potato to europe?
>>

>Is their average life span longer because of this
no clue. didn't read the article because i'm based. but studying potato digestion and linking it to evolution sounds ridiculous.
>>
Now where's the piece about White people digesting dairy better than anybody in the world?

Those who can more efficiently take advantage of the local staple crop will have, on average, more successful lives. Why does this bother you, OP?

Supposedly the French tried distributing them to farmers without proper explanations and they were briefly banned. The greens are actually slightly toxic and virtually devoid of nutrition and nobody told the farmers to eat the tubers. But that's just the story I heard. Kind of like tomatoes are actually slightly toxic until ripe. Turns out dropping off a new foreign crop refusing to elaborate further and hoping for the best in the middle ages wasn't a working plan. Who would of thunk it?

so in short, the difference is so small they don't even feel confident enough to say that it's not just statistical noise

>Why does this bother you, OP?
it bothers me that people were paid to study this shit. who gives a fuck?
>muh we have more data points to enter in the comtuter
>muh we have to inform some people they shouldn't eat potatoes or they'll die
it's all nonsense.

>so in short, the difference is so small they don't even feel confident enough to say that it's not just statistical noise
it shouldn't even be a news article. yea fucking whatever 'scientists' are going down stupid rabbit holes, but does it require an article?
>>
>>536693240
the only reason that article was written was because the author felt he can subtly dab on whites by saying someone else is superior to them in some way

>the only reason that article was written was because the author felt he can subtly dab on whites by saying someone else is superior to them in some way
i think the main reason it was written was because some 'scientist' emailed a 'journalist' and the lazy 'journalist' wrote a 1.5k article so they wouldn't get fired. the 'journalist' probably just used ai though, so it took them like 5 minutes.

Soupanon is jealous of this fact.

>you will never be a research scientist force feeding indigenous people potatoes and publishing the results.

Not potatoes but tomatoes did indeed kill rich people initally because they ate using high lead content utensils and the acid in tomatoes reacted with it

>#1 at digesting potatoes
Congratulations, I guess?

Why arn't there any Irish flags itt?

I'd beg to differ.
