Why no one talks about the monastic orders in Europe? For centuries they were controlling the whole continent through large networks, manipulations and intrigues. From Portugal to Baltics, they are everywhere. And in this case it is not even conspiracy but an actual fact. The most interesting part is that they haven’t disappeared, neither their immense wealth.
