You have to buy someone else's home and land on acreage is expensive. Now you might be thinking that land in the mountains of appalachia is cheaper. That might be true. Woods are less valuable than farmland. But also you can buy woods that you cannot get permission to build on or drill a well of have a septic. And new builds are more expensive than old homes.

And they're fucking everywhere and everywhere by the trillions and have regular ticks all over too and it's muggy to such an extreme that you literally feel heavy and have trouble breathing at times due to how thick the humidity and heat is at times.
