How come search and rescue helicopters could pick up a pilot in the middle of Iran but a remote control boat had to go looking for the crashed helicopter crew off a friendly coastline?

That's pretty cool though, you could go fishing remotely.
>>
>>536763180
because they just had a helo shot down, so there's clearly some risk, and they could get a boat there quickly. I'm sure they were also setting up an air mission while this was going on in case they needed it, but it would involve surveillance, some jammers, some attack etc. etc.

If the pilots weren't hurt, why the need for retaliation?

Fox news unironically.

An F-15 was shot down inside Iran and they sent dozens of planes to support the rescue.

>If the pilots weren't hurt, why the need for retaliation?
Because Trump has utterly failed to get Iran to surrender, even though according to him we've won 10 times over. This gives him an excuse to continue bombing Iran in hopes of them giving up, and he can frame it as simply revenge so he doesnt look bad to his fans.

Far more obstacles for unmanned land vehicles to navigate, air vehicles even more complicated.
A boat on the other hand is relatively simplistic.
>>
>>536763180
What was the name of this pilot?

Do you think the AH-64 comes with ejection seats?
Fuck, i'm so tired of stupid zoomer trash.
>>
>helicopter crash survivors
may we see them?

This never happened.

Shoeman.
>>
>>536764363
It must have some survivability method otherwise it wouldn't be worth putting very expensive pilots in.
>>
The suspicious war Canadian war monger Sean Naylor wrote an article claiming the F-15 pilot shot down in the middle of Iran had already be shot down during the opening days of the war.

Will it drink beer and piss into the sea too?

good grief, do some basic research
it has an armored cockpit, but doesnt have ejection seats like a ka-52
>>
>>536763180
>had to
maybe it was simply the quickest way and it worked. They couldn't do the same on land for obvious reasons.

Those reasons being?
>>
>>536764087
hmm that was in Iran, there was no drone that could do it. You are not comparing the same situations, this was not near Iran, it was in the water, the drone was a boat, it could literally sail to their location.

autorotation
it works sometimes, and sometimes you just smash into the ground and die

If a pilot ejects over Saudi Arabia they send a helicopter not an RC car.
>>
>>536764838
the reason is logic. One is it was on water and was not in Iran. The F15 was shot down over Iran, so how exactly can a drone aa boat sail on land lolz?
>>
>>536764882
hard to pull off with shredded rotors.
>>
>>536764948
that’s the time when you definitely die
if only the engine gets knocked out you can autorotate and maybe survive
If the tail linkage is knocked out you can sometimes survive if you get lucky and do down quickly
>>
>>536763180
i'm smelling 15 tons of the purest orange nigger bullshit here
>>
>>536764914
Or they could send a drone which does the same thing. Why exactly is it a problem that a drone was able to achieve something? Are you fags so against tech that you think helicopters are going to be obsolete? Take for example driverless vehicles, if they massively reduce car accidents then would you really be against that on principle they are driverless and if any accidents do happen (logic dictates some would) then you have no one to blame? No more jeets totalling trucks, no more videos. Something was used, it worked and of course some anon has to question that it worked - that only a copter and crew could do a rescue. It's all very amusing.
>>
>>536765054
How does a chink know about tail linkage? Go back to your rice farm
>>
>>536763180
it's obvious. after Iran attacked Israel, your government needed an excuse to attack Iran since American public is sick of fighting jews' wars.
>>
>>536763180
Bullshit, task force 59 was destroyed in the attack on bahrain.
>>
>>536765433
It does beg the question where are AH-64s based at when Iran has satellite imagery now.
>>
>>536764507
Recovery from an ejection seat exit within a month? Highly unlikely.

>>
>>536763180
The apache doesn't have ejection capabilities. That nigga crashed and drowned.

They also got downed by a boat, meaning they were in just a few nautical miles of the boat (visual range). If they somehow survived they got captured.
>>
>>536764487
yes, it is called auto rotate and prayer
>>
>>536767140
How do we even know there was an apache?
>>
>>536763180
The "search and rescue" was a failed invasion, likely aiming for enriched uranium. That's why they looked for a severely wounded pilot 200+ miles away in another province across a mountain range.

They landed expecting little resistance due to the remote location and began setting up an airfield, but were attacked by locals and militia forces nearly immediately. They withdrew after losing a few aircraft, and covered their ass by saying it was a planned retreat after withdrawing their pilot. He still hasn't been shown.
>>
>>536767261
>little resistance due to the remote location
It was less than 5km from a highway and 30km from an army base.
