>>536778180The actual answer is because of political levers put in place to appease rural voters and undermine democracy. It goes like this: when the USA was first getting started, they like the concept of democracy but the northern states had way more people than the south, especially if you were only counting white people and not the shitton of slaves they had. The southern states would never join the union if all they were doing was signing up to be the bitches of the north forever, so compromises had to be made so that despite having objectively fewer people, they still had a roughly equal voice. This gave us the electoral college and other compromises on the simple premise of "we all vote and whatever gets the most votes wins", to instead empower the minority of have power over the majority. Regardless of your stance on cities vs rural power dynamics, this established a trend that continued throughout american political history, a precedent of building in levers that would ensure that the US government would always be beholden to a minority voting block as if it were a much bigger one. Whatever good intentions this might have had at the start, these levers of power have been co-opted by fringe groups to solidify their power even when they know that the majority of the country doesn't agree with them.Using these political force multipliers, christian nationalists wormed their way into the halls of power despite not having much voter backing at all and basically never left. When Christian nationalism gave rise to Zionism (which was, weirdly enough, invented in the united states) it thus already had a platform within our government to move quickly and influence policy, in no small part leading to the creation of the state of Israel where it is today.
>>536782772A lot has happened since then that I'm going to gloss over, but basically the problem has compounded on itself over time. Protections that used to prevent electoral interference got stripped away and buying politicians became legal, stacking the judiciary branch went from scandal to expected practice, rules became suggestions and violations became normalized, etc. All made possible by the levers of power baked in from the start that allowed the minority to ignore the majority because that inherently exposes you to subversive manipulation. By the time you get to the modern day, America can't say no to Israel not because the majority of voters support Israel, but because the fact that the majority of voters don't support Israel is *irrelevant* to American policy. With enough ways to ignore the will of the majority stacked together, you can do almost anything. Someone mathed out the 2016 electoral maps years ago, and they made the point that with our political system as it is currently designed, in 2016 you could theoretically control the white house and both chambers of congress with just 22% of the vote, as long as you put them in the optimal districts. Legally, the remaining 78% of the population had absolutely zero ability to change the outcome of the election if the minority-leaning levers of power were used to maximal effect. That is the level of disparity between our people and our politics that exists in America.
>>536778180We'll find it gets easier with practice
>>536778180If you haven't noticed, most of the world hates jews nowadays. You can thank the US for that.
