Robotics will do the same to chink manufacturing as AI does to jeet call centers. Low wages are meaningless compared to no wages, and proximity to markets and not having to deal with chinks outweighs any cost savings that might otherwise be gained from Chinese slave labor and not having to worry about environmental regulations or workplace safety or paying compensation so some worker to get eaten by a machine. The robotic, fully automated world is one where there's a lot less exporting and global trade generally.
