If it gets flagged you've got to get the chain checked, brakes measured and all that, then send the paperwork in and pay a £45 fee before they'll clear it again. Most people haven't heard about it yet because they're not really advertising it, but it's supposed to be about safety and making sure bikes are being maintained properly. I think its called the "BFF Framework" or something, I forget, Bicycling for Fitness or something like that. It has some wanky name anyway.
