Yeah... Rare earth elements can actually be found even in Korea.

The thing is, extracting them causes such severe environmental pollution that the process is completely banned in developed nations. That's how it ended up becoming something only China really digs up.

Even if these elements are discovered now, they can't just be extracted right away because nobody has built or maintained the necessary refineries for decades. So, even if you manage to mine it, you'd still have to ship it to China just to get it processed.

That's the harsh reality. It's not like Orange man backed down from China's rare earth threats for no reason.

We've also got lots of the shit in our landfills. They will be exploited when it's cost effective

you just know that the preferential treatment this mining company is gonna get is probably not gonna live past sleepy trump right? like everything he's signed is going to get invalidated like biden. these mines take a decade+ to make and he doesn't have that long / we don't have that long. also all these rare earths would belong to cuckservative slavemaster Israel now

This is nothing new. We knew the US had a shit ton of minerals it's just that we didn't want to excavate it unless we had to, we still shouldn't. We should destroy South American nature for it instead

Yeah they're everywhere.
It took china 20 years to figure out how to refine these without turning 10 million acres into the oblivion dimension out of TES though.

Rare earths are everywhere China gets most of them from coal, the hard part is extracting them and refining them.
>>
>>536797446
You must be a jeet, cuz you sure are stupid.
Rare earths are very hard to refine and occur in such small quantities that it absolutely destroys the environment.
That's why chinks mine them, they do not care about absolutely ruining the land.
>>
>>536798417
Rare earths are not rare my chinky friend
>>
>>536795329
no shit, the difference is that it's better to pay chinks to destroy their own land, than it is to destroy the appalachians
>>
>>536797385
Not just that.
Most rate earth metals are byproduct of a production of other metals. And when it's just rare earth metals mined, it has to be a high concentration of specific metals. Most rare earth metals are useless.
Only china has both.

rare earths never were rare, but rather were called as such because they're typically mixed in with other materials such that it is difficult to extract it at a acceptable purity like what can be done with Iron.

i heard that the nips have some methods to do so idk too much about it, apparently it's related them obsessing over some SNCA island they have and figuring out some autistic method of raping it for rare earths whilst simultaneously doing mental gymnastics to try and not disturb wildlife or something.
Asianometry has a decent qrd on what the nips have done given that you're willing to burn a few mins of your time. cult of Pooh probably would have it much better streamlined it because ofc they would.

apparently there are "heavy" and "light" rare earths, the more heavier ones are harder to procure and is where the PROC excels int he grand scheme of things.

America has a ton of things we dont dig up because of environmental reasons. I think the reality is we are happy to let others dig up their cheaper shit so we can keep ours in the ground the guarantee an advantage 50-100 years out.

This
They told us Afganistan was full of lithium and the war would pay for itself. To this day not one ounce of lithium has ever been mined in Afganistan.

Now they tell us ukraine has rare earths. All the reports that claim there are rare earths in ukraine came from Soviet surveys in the 1960s that nobody believed at the time. So why has nobody ever mined these rare earths?

Rare earth mines take a minimum of 10 years to start producing. Nobody is going to invest the billions in unstable corrupt shitholes
>>
>>536800238
The US has more lithium than any country on earth. Why would we need Afghanistan's?
>>

weird when you think that all of this was made in past supernova or from stars themselves. the gold you have sitting around was also made this way.

>>
>>536802715
Yeah, I remember reading something about how there's too much gold and platinum and uranium in the universe to be accounted for by supernovae. They think binary neutron star mergers are responsible for a lot of it.
>>
>>536795329
>Turns out rare earths aren't rare
Which was obvious to anyone reading a page of a semi decent article about the matter in the last 50 years. Fucking morons the whole lot.
