jesus did he just blow it all? with that kind of money you can make investments to live of off

American streamers are retarded, simple as.
Municipal bonds are often exempt from both federal and state taxes.
Even the highest rated credit yielded around 2% during the ZIRP era.
Just $1,000,000 today grants about $40,000 in tax-free passive income.

not as bad as that one cod streamer with the rotting foot
>>
>>536839842
Yeah he made millions in the 2010's, could have invested in literally anything and been very well off now, but he spent all of it on consooming shit

Its literally the text book example of a internet celeb not taking advantage of winning the lottery ticket of making money online playing video games and then spending all of that money carelessly

Now he gets all happy over a $10 donation

This guy made the most famous WoW warrior video back in the day. like 2006?
Also the OG wow guide creator paul, known as "joana" had a heart attack and died at like 42.

All the OG guys i know are washed or dead and the new classic players are a bunch of posers who started playing classic on the 1.12 private servers.

Kinda funny how all those seething wagies who use to seethe about e-celebs making money back in the 2010's ended up being right about a lot of these guys, they all use to say that all the e-celebs will end up with no job experience in 10 years and have no ability to get any decent job later due to a massive gap in their employment history by being an e-celeb playing vidya games

I guess the OF girls will all be broke in 10 years too after they spend all their money and their "services" are no longer able to be monetized because everyone will have an AI gf

Why does this happen? Like why do people get popular in their teens and 20's, but then suddenly nobody cares about them anymore in their 30s and 40s or older?

It isnt even a girl thing (ie: hitting the wall) it happens to guys as well even when their success has nothing to do with their looks

It's a perception thing. Back in 2010 everyone thought the market was going to crash again like it did in 2008 so investing was seen as counter productive. Nobody knew the market would just keep going up and up and up. So you can only say investing is good now today because you have hindsight.

It's weird but the market is not crashing and with AI tools it just keeps going higher and higher making a fool out of every bear(me included) who expected a crash to come as we have been waiting for almost 2 decades now.
>>

When you hit 40 nobody cares about you anymore. Everyone only likes you when you are young because you are entertaining to them. Streaming was really popular because people liked to watch young people waste their lives doing it. That's the reality of being an entertainer. You are the product and when you are no longer wasting your life playing games for other people to watch all day when you should be making a family, gaining skills and amassing wealth they will drop you cold.

Look up Artosis and Tasteless as some other examples. Washed up e celebs who rode the rise of SC2 hype and are now floundering.

Nothing anywhere is completely risk-free. But there are tons of assets and investment strategies (derivatives, fund classes, etc.) that can either help maintain equity or grow it. To be fair, the government has prioritized the stock market. That's the part which was hard to predict: that, given the choice between propping up the economy and the stock market, the government would relentlessly choose to put money into the pockets of the already-rich.

In ages past, there was at least the awareness that the stock market was a different entity than the broader economy. We are now at the point where the market is now itself seen as the economy.

>>536841743
Real estate is tied to the markets. Everyone thought land would crash too. And the only reason why gold skyrocketed is because people figured out it was underpriced compared to modern wages. So gold at 1k an ounce was cheap when 4k an oz was really the proper price.

Real estate is also a liability. Who's to say he doesn't have a house? He has bills to pay and that's why he's working. He looks like he has a fancy car too. That's high insurance payments.
>>
Does anyone knows how much money has he made?

Your zoomer is showing. Swifty was literally one of the biggest WoW streamers from 2009 to 2019, and def likely the biggest back in the early 2010's

It didnt use to be like these days where only rank 1 pvpers get views, he had the bulk of the WoW pvp audience watching him because he was a noob and relateable to the average pvper
>>
>>536841388
he was OK back then, he was above average with the macros (even if the good ones came from his friends). The people he fought werent always great though and the rogue duel he showed was 1 duel of many he had with that rogue when the rogue was basically practising without cooldowns and didnt expect it was recorded.

im going to give you guys a wow video redpill though, like 99% of all wow videos is basically someone prepared for PvP fighting someone who is not prepared for PvP. There would be no 1vX videos if everyone in the video had their PvP trinket on their PvP spec while knowing how to play. IN world of roguecraft some of the guys he killed were literally AFK.

The reason why the markets keep going up is because wealth inequality keeps going up. The gap between the rich and poor keeps widening. This is why bears hedged on a market crash because we wanted to close the gap of wealth inequality(not to get rich).

See my mistake was to assume life was going to get better as in fairer but it only continues to get more oppressive. The rich are the ones who are making money from money. And AI tools are making CEOs and executives even more rich. More profits as they lay off more workers to increase their overhead profits.

>>
>>536840359
It's because NPCs always defeat schizos. NPCs working for the jew are a cog in the machine so they will always have a place. Living on hype and crowd funding won't last forever. WoW was fun and it was fun for the time but today it's no longer the current thing.

I don't even know what zoomers are playing these days. Fortnite? Seems retarded but that's probably what they are doing.

Again it's a perception thing. Back then streaming and living it up was what everyone wanted to do. Streamers would travel the world playing esports and live in gaming houses and they had sponsors and made money from winning tournaments. It was a big deal.

I used to watch streamers practice on twitch. There was massive hype because they were practicing for real life tournaments which had big money prizes. So they had sponsors too. They were living the life and out jewing the jew.

And then esports died. Out of nowhere. Everything worth a damn is OFFLINE these days.

Wagies who grinded away for 20 years are doing better than e celebs or esports champions because they probably are locked in a management position today. They have 401ks and families. They got rewarded for grinding IRL for the jew while those trying to snub the system are left behind.

>>536842464
The issue is the complete and total lack of future planning, if you make millions over a short time you should set yourself up for the future.

Swifty did none of this, he burned his money as soon as it landed on his account and now he's paying for it. It's sad but completely preventable.

>The reason why the markets keep going up is because wealth inequality keeps going up
I agree, but it's not a kind of neutral consequence of the invisible hand, or whatever. It is a contingent result predicated on discrete choices people in power made and continue to make. It is rule by the rich and for the rich. They purchase political power, use it to pump more money into the stock markets, and then use THAT money to purchase even more political power, more favorable policies, and on and on we go.

I agree that WEALTH inequality is the primary metric. People get wealth inequality and income inequality mixed up. Even though income inequality is real and directly impacts wealth inequality, it is wealth which is the primary lever. We barely tax wealth. The rich can defer taxes on it until they die. Getting wealth taxed and getting money the fuck out of politics are the two primary causes of our generation.
>>
>>536842793

>>
>>536839842
How much money are we talking? You need 10s of millions to make that viable.

You know there are things like taxes, right? And you can't just magically put your money in an investment account and get 10% returns year on year. The market doesn't work that way, and you always pay fees to the bank. Plus, if you're living off of your investment dividends and bond yields, then you're not compounding, and inflation will eventually catch up with you.
>>
>>536842856

Now there's a name I haven't heard in a while. I remember watching this video of his back in the day where his greatest problem was getting his driver's license renewed and feeling so jealous that he could just play video games all day and live like a millionaire. It is insane to me that he pissed it all away.
>>
>>536842833
Again back then esports or streaming was seen as a method to outjew the jew because you could literally play video games online for a living, Streamers had sponsors, donations, teams, gaming houses and tournaments. There was so much money floating around with very little overheard costs because it was all online.

I can't express this enough but back in 2010 it was a huge scene. The internet was new and fast and games were getting better mechanically and graphically. it was something and there was so much hype and positive energy back then. Imagine getting paid to play the game franchises you grew up on as a kid? That's why we loved it so much.
>>
>>536842961
2 million can easily be 60-80k a year in "safe" investments. And i bet he made more if he could afford a streamer house and an arcade. 2 million might not be enough to retire the rest of your life in the U.S at the standard he's used to, but if you go to Asia or South America you can have a great life and keep sticking some money back in to hedge inflation.
>>
>>536842847
Nobody knew the markets would keep going up. Dow jones is what 50k now? That's absurd. In 2010 it was 10k.
>>
>>536843008
Swifty hasn't been huge for a very long time. He was big in vanilla and then had a resurgence during wow classic, but that was almost 10 years ago now.
>>
Believe it or not, some people actually like driving Uber. It's a way to get a little bit of social interaction. Also, people generally need to work. No matter how rich you are, you're probably not going to be all that happy if you have nothing to do with your time.

The problem with getting rich from streaming is that it's not really a universal skill. If you start a company and get rich from it, you can just start another company if you get bored because you know how to do it. If you get rich from streaming... I mean, I guess you can start another stream (like Swifty did) but you're kind of pigeonholed.

I don't actually know what his financial status is like, but it's not a given that he's broke. He might just be living off passive income and some low stress work that gets him out of the house.

It's not about the work guys, per se. It's about having a place in the society of man. People who have money from the markets are hedging on other people making it so they get rewarded for that. The issue is when you don't have a place in society and are forced to work a lame grinding job without a purpose in life and society then you start to wonder what's it all for.

Obviously when you are making millions of dollars playing video games you are doing something right. When you are 40 to 50 delivering fast food to people with families and lives then you start to doubt what it is all for. Money is power and this is jew world so you can't do anything without it.

Sooner or later, one way or another, that "money" finds its way back to its owner. With interest.

swifty didnt really have alot of money ever
the gaming house was a sponsor project from razor gaming peripherals and once he lost popularity they stopped that project
he was youtube famous before you could really make money with it
his main sponsor razor just send him mouses and keyboards to give away
his twitch was never popular and he missmanaged it completely by having it on 24/7
back in the day when someone got up and the camera feed was just showing his chair people would joke that its a swifty stream since his steam would be just showing his chair for 23 hours of the day
he did missmanage his online career but not to the extend that some people here think
my running theory is that he lost his mind from drugs and his grandma dying
still my favorite lolcow
>>
>>536839761
At least he didn't fuck his life up as much as Vitality

swifty was never really a huge personality in wow and he was never that good either, he got famous off those vanilla videos when the game was extremely unbalanced
all those people are probably much more famous and rich than him

He probably donated it all to e-thots

>he didnt have much its all fake
At one point he had loads. But he rented a giant mansion like some tech billionaire, then tried to turn it into some kind of gaming mansion mecca and failed. He was spending money like water near a time it was clear he could not diversify away from wow like some did.

It was so clearly fake as-well, only a female mind could construct something like that. But the kikes at Blizzard didn't care and burned a decades spanning relationship over it.

He’s too pure of heart to become a political streamer like Asmongold did.

Objectively false, he was big on YouTube during the same time WingsofRedemption routinely made 10k+ per mass produced video, and Swifty was way bigger.
If Swifty played at a median IQ person's level he would absolutely be financially independent today

economic inequality is integral to capitalism and a non issue.
The greatest economic inequality is found under socialism where a small political elite own everything and everyone else is a slave. stop mischaracterizing the situation.

it would probably just break even, but he may be making more than he's letting on. if he bought a nice house in a nice neighborhood then he might be getting some pretty big orders plus tips. doordash and other companies like uber are notorious for being extremely locational.

My understanding is that when he was making the big money he did buy a small nice house, probably the only smart thing he did do. But far as I remember when he lost the mansion and all his money, all his family from Puerto Rico moved into the house, and he ended up streaming from a cupboard.

Asmongold looks about 20 years younger than this guy. Keep in mind that this guy was older than asmongold is today when he was making money streaming in the early 2010s.

>But far as I remember when he lost the mansion and all his money, all his family from Puerto Rico moved into the house, and he ended up streaming from a cupboard.
So he couldn't even finance a house he could afford? Also him being Puerto Rican and bad with money is no surprise.

When wealth gaps are widening this leads to oppression since monopolization brings lower wages to the working class. What made capitalism work was a strong middle class in post WW2 economy.

Why even bring up socialism when obviously i never even mentioned that as a possible solution? I said when wealth inequality became a social issue in the 1920s to 30s it caused the great depression which led to populist movements such as fascism and communism.

What's happening today is NOT okay especially combined with AI tools which are laying off workers to increase corporate profits. If you think wealth inequality is good then you are obviously not the one wage slaving. I know the working class is NOT enjoying the economy right now.

Do a search on the term "irrational exuberance".
Anyone can profit off a bubble if they just have the ice cold sensibility to set a safe target and then cash out.
And don't mind fuck themselves if the market goes up a little more.

The usa has problems but it's not from capitalism it's from way too much government intervention and redistribution. Stuff is expensive because of government.
the economy sucked post ww2 it is far better now even with the problems. Americans have so much stuff it's incredible. There is a huge number of wealthly people here.
and there'd be alot more prosperity if the government cut the min wage to zero, cut taxes to zero, cut red tape, and removed all rules and regulations that limit growth, trade, and competition in the economy.
>>
>>536839934
I don't even comprehend how that is possible. Even if you purchase hundreds of depriciating assets like electronics, designer clothes, cars... it shouldn't be possible to destroy millions of $. A large portion of your spending would have to be luxury consumables, but wouldn't you eventually get tired of caviar and champagne? I'd have trouble destroying that amount of money if I tried.

the 'tard is beyond saving anyway. He thinks muni bonds yield at the fed funds rate and talks about "muh biden blip".

If you're a multi-millionaire streamer, then you're probably a faggot, which means you live in California or Texas. Assuming California residency and you earn half a million each year, your federal tax bracket is ~35% and your state income tax is ~10%. Combined tax rate is 1 - 0.65 * 0.90 = 0.415.

Pic related is a non-callable, AMT-exempt bond with 2.93% YTM. That is equivalent to a pre-tax yield of 2.93% / (1 - 0.415) = 5.0%. You need to earn at least 5.0% pre-tax before your cash flows beat the muni.

The issue is monopolization. Lack of government regulation would only increase corporate mergers and greed. You continue to think doubling down on profit will lead to prosperity when in fact America is so rich, only the rich get richer and the poor stay poorer.

There's no solution inside the system because no matter what people are going to suffer. So the government is choosing inflation and market growth instead of another recession. So people are working 2 or 3 jobs to make end's meet and side hustling too. It's not right when people are being exploited as economic units in the name of profit because the government is afraid of a recession.

What needs to happen is another depression but nobody wants that so they keep doubling down. You are doubling down too. What goes up must come down and the longer the market continues to grow the larger the depression is going to be.

It happens to lotto winners, superstar athletes. Why wouldn't it happen to an esports star? Making money isn't easy or everyone would be rich. When people get money they are more inclined to spend it instead of investing it. Investing is basically giving someone your time so you can make a profit on them in the future.

So would you rather drive a sportscar now or later? Would you rather live in a big mansion now or later? See how that works? And assuming this guy has a big expensive house still and an expensive truck then that means they cost a lot of money to upkeep.

Only government can grant companies monopolies.
If a company is simply dominant in a market, that does not mean it is a monopoly. If the company does not remain vigilant and attentive to consumer needs, competitors can arise to dethrone it.
